I know Royce White is the talk down in the Rio Grand Valley, but what about this kid Andrew Goudelock...??? He's been averaging 20 points and 4 assist a game this season in the D-League and posted up 23 points, 11 assist, and 7 steals in Sunday's game. He didn't do much his rookie year with the Lakers but it seems like he's getting it together (Kobe nicknamed him MINI MAMBA)... I think he can give Lin and Beverly a serious run for their money if Morey signs him to the team and I think he will since the Raptors went through the trouble of trading for him. Glen Rice Jr. is doing very good as well. I don't know if these guys will get contracts with the Rockets but I would have no problem if Morey signed them up this off-season. We have virtually no offense coming off the bench besides Delfino (and that's not saying much).
If you look on the NBA D-League's home page, you'll see the "experts' list" of the best prospects. Whiteside is #15 on the list, Goudelock is #10, and at #2 is ..... DJ Kennedy.
I totally left out Kennedy... I'm expecting to see a couple of these guys on the bench next year. Whiteside seems a lil farther away than the others.
I've been watching the games and when i see Goudelock I don't think "NBA contributor". I think ball-hoggin average D-League guard. No wonder Kobe nick-named him.
Give me a break dude... It's my first thread and hardly anyone comes over on the D league side anyway. And at least I didn't do a "Lin Should Play The TRUE Point Guard Position" thread
i watched a few viper games (to take a look at our rooks) and IMO gouldlock kinda sucks. he scores a lot but i just wasn't wow-ed when i watched him. i think rice is better but still kinda sucks though. plus, he plays a position that is pretty loaded in the nba, which is the typical athletic wing player who plays d and shoots 3s. theres at least one per team haha
I was probably a little hard on him...I don't like being message board hater guy. Th last 2 or 3 games the whole team has been more unselfish. He's averaging about 20 points and 5 assists and his fg and 3 pt percentages are improved since joining the Vipers. At 6'3", 195 lbs i just don't see him being a NBA 2 guard.
I'll admit, the thread title got me curious of what in the world is the "Mexican Snake League" lol. Misson accomplished.
