Lets start naming the excuses now "well we've beaten you two times and youve beaten us once." "we have a better record" "refs gave you all the calls" "Blah Blah blah blah blah" Vote and chime in on your own!
This game would have been any other regular season game to me had it not been for MemphisX's posteuring. Thanks for making it extra special for me, X.
How bout Mo sucks, MJ sucks, Cat sucks, Steve sucks, why Yao only 12 FGA????????? why no Boki???? That's all we heard in chat and MemphisX only got in one post before he got kicked. +M roolz.
good post... I suspect it will be "blame the refs" because Pau's usual whining didn't translate well this time. But, they might use the Bonzi injury (he was injured during the 4th, wasn't he?), but then that would CONFLICT with his assesment on how balanced Memphis is, and how they don't need to rely on one or two players.
Grizz and their fans are just so full of themselves. No way they have a better team now or in the foreseeable future.
Tonite was Playoff Basketball Folks And wasn't it nice to see who controlled the rhythm of the game and ultimately prevailed? The Rox did an outstanding job on both ends of the court. 3/4 through the fourth quarter, I think the Grizz had some 18 shot attempts vs. the Rox 9 but were not closing any ground. MemphisX has a feisty young team to root for, but let's not kid ourselves, Rox have real stars and a true championship contender. Great win! Life is good! theSAGE
You forgot that Memphis was on the 2nd night of a back-to-back and were missing Mike Miller and Lorenzen Wright. Which are both valid excuses actually. The 4th quarter of this game did confirm what I've been saying about Memphis all along though. Who's their go-to guy in crunch time? We saw Jason Williams, Shane Battier, Stromile Swift, James Posey, and Pau Gasol all get opportunities late in the game, but that's not gonna work come playoff time.
im going to root for memphis because no matter what, we are both going to the playoffs. whatever team plays against memphis will be tired as hell going into the 2nd round. i want to play that team.
Yeah, I know that MemphisX sticks it to us all the time about the Grizzlies, but we should take this win with grace. Let's not be sore winners, and let's not call out a lone poster on this board. Let's just be happy about the great win and move on. High road and whatnot.
true... but part of Memphis X's mantra is that since Memphis is such a deep team, things like injuries and fatigue never play a role in Hubie's system. He'll never blam those things. But, good call on the go-to guy syndrome. They have one in Pau (despite his whiny-b**** syndrome), but they don't like focusing on only one guy... and when they need to do it, its too late.
