Does anyone actually believe he doesn't know what is going on?

If so, I got a nice bridge in Brooklyn to sell to you.

Isn't that the line the Nyets were going to try to sell him?

And yet the part of recruiting is what NOT to say: "But you'll be in f***ing Jersey for two more years."

    THe guy's totally playing dumb

I think the only reason the NJ deal broke down is because Melo wouldn't sign a piece of paper.

The guy (or most likely LALA) already decided it's either NY for extension or nothing

I'm sure Melo is well aware that he wants to be in NY and get an extension under this CBA. As much as he wants this, he must know that he probably won't get both.

I don't think he would have any problems making that money up in advertising.

Could you imaging him and Amare' on billboards in NY...money, money, money

THe thing people forget is that Melo signed a longer deal than Wade and Lebron. Yes they were all drafted than same year but Wade and Lebron rather than choose the five-year deal Melo agreed to went for three-year deals for a chance to become free agents sooner. Melo chose not to because he didn’t have as much confidence as James and Wade that he would get that max money later. He could have signed the same deal and got even more money in NY last year than Lebron and Wade but his greed made him go for more money back then.

So I for one find it hard to believe he will just walk away from so much money so easily. I think him to be the least likely guy to do it. Now if he has a shoe deal that guarantees he’ll make it up if he signs to the Knicks maybe he would do it. But I find it hard to believe Jordan who is also greedy will give him that much of a pay raise.

All of this I will not sign to this team or that team… I will only sign to New York is all PR designed for one thing. To try and force Denvers hand. But now that NJ has taken the deal off the table and Denver is not talking Melo is nervous. He is afraiid because he is the greediest star from the 2003 draft class and he thinks he might lose some green. He is afraid he may get sent to Houston or some place worst. ANd his agent is on the clock because he said don't worry Melo we are going to get you that extension and we are going to get you in NY.

ANd now Melo is screaming at his agent "Hey you stupid **** I don't want to go to the Clippers or Rockets. You promised NY. ANd the Nugz are not sending him to NY, No Way. New York don't got **** to offer. And the Nets pulled their deal because Melo's stupid idiotic tantrums last week made the Russian mad. ANd now Melo's agent is calling and Begging Mr. RUSSIAN, hey we do want to talk let us have that sit down. ANd the Russian is saying, "Let us wait and see.. but rightt now NO!". And Melo is pissing in his pants. LOL Gotta Love it!

He is worried because in spite of what he says he will have a hard time walking away from all that money and he is afraid he may be stuck in Houston. That idea makes him depressed but the thought of walking away from the extra millions makes him even sicker.

That is why you hear this new change of attitude. His bluff is being called and he now wants NJ back on the table. This Russian guy sensed it and the Nuggets know that is still their best deal and if Anthony wants to bluff go ahead. They will play hardball and send Melo to Houston. In the end I think Melo will cry for the Nets deal and they will concede but not as quite a high price that the Nuggets were trying to rape them for.

Smart move by the new nets owner and the Nuggets finally came to their senses and stopped listening to Melo’s bluffs. Anyway that’s my opinion on the deal. Expect a NJ for Melo deal to happen early next month.

I'm confused on why we would want him at this point in the season. It seems to me the big issue is him signing an extension and looks like he wants to play in NY so why are we still asking for Melo? Are we that desperate that we want Melo as a rental to make a run for the 8th spot in the west? I'm probably just stating the obvious but unless we get Melo w/ an extension, I'm going to have to say pass.

Did you read the article? it's saying he's nervous and signing an extension is what's important to him.

No becuase I'm getting tired of all this Melo trade talke like i did with Lebron's "where is he going" crap lol. Just seems like he's more interested in getting his money instead of winning.

He wont sign. He thinks New York money will suddenly appear like fairies out of nowhere to fill in the missing milions he will lose. He is wrong. If you think i am lieing? Just ask Tmac and Yao if they got endorsement money and record type money with the Rockets and their endorsement money here? Then understand he will lose millions going to New York. Also its more expensive to live there and the taxes. MILLIONS. There is no doubt and no way thats not the truth. Its reality.
