Heard on the BBC this morning that the Master's committee decided Tiger might embarrass their famed golf course with a sub 60 so they narrowed the fairways and thickened the rough. They *never* change that golf course.

Tiger.....man......changing the landscape of golf in more ways than one.

Never been a big fan of the Augusta course anyway. Is it true that they put blue dye in the water? I like my golf courses to look a little more rough and ready, and links golf is without doubt the most challenging type of course. I've got a bet on Olazabal to win again (he always performs well at Augusta, and he was 50-1).

Betting against Tiger, especially when he cares enough to start talking smack, is kind of a bad idea. Plus making the fairways narrower past 275 yards is not going to hurt Tiger, it will hurt guys like Davis Love and David Duval who have comparable length off of the tee but do not hit their irons as far. Tiger can hit a 4 iron 250 yards, as far as I drive the ball on a regular basis. I am pretty damn accurate with my driver but I would still bet on Tiger with an iron. Good luck Augusta, but you ain't gonna stop this guy.

Well, after the first day, Tiger doesn't look invincible. He's not out of it by a long chalk, but if the wind blows don't bet against my guy, or any of the other Europeans for that matter. Go Jose-Marie! Tiger has always had no idea about talking to the media anyway, so I don't worry too much about that. On a lighter note, what about that three ball of Palmer, Player and Nicklaus? I was glued to the box. Palmer is 71, with an ugly swing, and he still broke 80!

Is it possible for an average person to play the course?

I wonder what the greenfee would be...$300 ?
