His game has been skyrocketing lately, but unfort. I don't see why we drafted Isaiah Canaan when his skill set is so similar to Beverley. I really think Morey is driving up his value so we can at some point down the line get a top PF.

He is one of our best trade assets besides Parsons (who will be a Rocket for life ideally).

IMO, if we did make a deal it'd prob. also include one of our PF's (Jones or D-mont) plus Asik.

wont happen. Too valuable...having him for pennies on the dollar...Same with Parsons.

There is no market, if the seller isnt willing to sell

Isaiah Canaan may or may not even be an NBA player in 2 years. We should wait until he makes his first NBA shot before thinking about trading any of our PGs.

How is Canaan's skillset similar to Beverley? I think Canaan's game is more comparable to Aaron Brooks. Canaan isn't exactly known for his on-ball defense.

His sample size is too small for the other GMs.

Canaan is there when Bev walks when his contract is up and is too expensive for us to sign.

If we did trade Beverley (which is a doubtful proposition at best), he would most likely be a cheap contract to prop up the value of salary stuffers to get a solid $4-5m player, or to load up on picks in anticipation for a major off season trade, or to sweeten a deal like with Asik in order to get a high value player. Less likely that he'd trade Lin + Beverley, more likely he'd trade either one or the other.

While it's pretty unlikely they'll trade Beverley, let's not forget that this is Morey... all players are assets and replaceable except for Harden and Howard (and possibly Parsons).

Patrick and Chandler are crucial to the 2015 free agency plan. Thier low salaries and high output will be needed to fill out the roster and still have max cap space for Love or Aldridge.

I highly doubt any trades are made in the next two years of any significance.

LOL Wut? Canaan is a shooting point and patrick is a defensive ballhawk, who's had a questionable jumper.

I would rather lose Lin than Beverly at this point.

    Beverly is a BARGAIN currently.

In reality, Rockets are going to ride this season with both to see how each fits into the system unless some team finally decides to take Lin.

Currently none. Which is why he is still on this team.

Rockets tried to trade him this summer but other teams weren't too interested.

If I had the authority I would send this thread into the Solaris bit bucket.
