Maybe as one of the deeper bench options. If Beasley's shot is falling, he's useful for a few minutes. Otherwise he harms this team more than he helps with his lack of defense. Good thing is, his 2017 salary is not guaranteed until January.
Beasley was basically our second best player in the playoffs. Keep him, he can be very effective for 20-25 mins a game.
Morey worries me. He said in his interview that we would "keep a lot of guys under contract" if we do this given our past season I want Morey fired, lol..
Honestly, I could see him best fitting as our 6th man sparkplug. He can light it up and, assuming we get a hard-nosed coach like JVG, can be a versatile defender. Warriors have Iggy, Spurs have Ginobili, Cavs have Thompson...all who provide some energy off the bench. We'd need that player.
Lol Beasley was our second best player the moment he came on the Rockets. Outside of Harden, this team was a joke. Beasley offense game is sooo smooth man. Also with the right coaching, his defense will get better. Harden/Beasley duo will be something people will fear
Beasley should be a starter. I second that the moment he got on the floor he was absolutely our second best scorer.
Lol you must be a noob. Do you know what people here associate with the word "asset"? If not, do some research on the forum. Also, what do you guys think scola would say about Beasley?
Except Memphis Milwaukee Dallas Miami Clippers Lakers Warriors Knicks Hawks Timberwolves OKC Cleveland New Orleans San Antonio Utah Orlando so yeah besides those few teams sure
Beasley is the type of black hole , one dimensional, streaky player you want to avoid playing at all . It blows my mind that because people saw him make a few jumpers and step back spins that they think he is the second best player on our team . Absolutely would sell on Beasley right now . Hopefully the fact that he made some shots and has some speed can convince people he's going to be good again . If we can use him to dump Brewer or pick up another pick I'm all for it . In terms of PF I'd prefer both Dmo and Harrell over Beasley . If Dekker gets healthy next year I might prefer him as wel . Beasley just can't play team ball , on either side of the court , and if you want to build a winning team you need guys that play solid team ball . Sure our pathetic coaching staff has a lot to do with this . But the fact that he was in China prior to us makes me think that even with competent coaching he won't improve his team play at all .
Why is everyone's solution just to get rid of the players producing? lol. I understand someone like Brewer getting the ax but the Rockets desperately need players who can get their own shots. At the very least give Beasley a shot.
