    Yep, that's right. In about 9, count em 9 hours I will be watching this movie.

    I will be providing you fellow BBSers with an exclusive review of the movie courtesy of your truly.

    I just wanted to get a jump start on the title of the thread.

    As you were.

    "All that is gold does not glitter,
    Not all those who wander are lost;
    The old that is strong does not wither,
    Deep roots are not reached by frost.
    From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
    Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
    The crownless again shall be king."
    - J.R.R. Tolkien

    You must realise that I am insanely jealous of you right now. I have to wait until the 26th December! :mad: :mad:

    But I have gold class tickets (bigger, more comftable seats) booked, but unfortunatly the closest date they had was the 5th January. No matter, I'll see it before then anyway.

    BTW, I'm sure you are all better off having read that. :)

    i read so many reviews, i have a good feeling over the movie. the only 2 things i'm verry interested in are:
    1 How are the ents?
    2 what kind of impression does Faramir gave you?
    if you could anwser these questions for my i will be very happy,have fun watching the movie.

    Yeah, I know I won't like the tweaking they did with Faramir's character, and maybe some minor details, but it's gonna rock big-time. I have some super geek friends who are taking tomorrow off (one even has a tattoo in "Elvish" script on his back: J.R.R.T.; scary, huh) and they'll get my ticket, as they will be standing in line EARLY.

    I didn't like the first one, mostly due to the circumstances surrounding my viewing of it. However, both RM95's Girl (who didn't like it either) and I are pumped about this one. We're re-watching the Fellowship Thursday night, then seeing The Two Towers sometime this weekend.

    Best movie weekend of the year. I am so pumped. The Two Towers, Adaptation, About Schmidt, Gangs of New York and Two Weeks Notice (yes, I want to see it...bite me).

    I am so pumped about this movie I feel like I am going to jump through the roof. Never have I gotten so hyped about any movie in the past. Normally, when I get stoked about a movie, I start to worry to myself that I will be let down. That's the great thing about this one, it won't happen. Trust me, it won't happen. There is no possible way this movie won't kick total and complete ass.

    I really wanna see that movie too ... I've always been a HUGE fan of Sandra Bullock after seeing 'The Net' and loved her in Miss Congeniality :D

    Peace.

    From CNN's review of TTT (which they call "a seamless masterpiece" btw):

    "The overprotective Sam harbors an immediate dislike towards Gollum, but the ever-trusting Frodo, perhaps feeling a kinship for someone who has also had to bear the pressures and consequences of holding the ring, takes pity on the strange, hairless little being. Gollum joins Sam and Frodo, leading them to the fortress of the evil wizard Saruman, played by Christopher Lee, whose hairdo looks a lot like Cher's in her latest music video. But I digress. Saruman intends to regain the ring, which will give him the power to throw Middle Earth into everlasting darkness and despair."

    This is [/B]wrong[/B] . He's mixing up Sauron and Saruman isnt he? The ringbearers are all heading to Mordor, not back to Saruman.

    I've got my tickets for 10:15 PM tomorrow night at Edwards. I might go tonight at midnight too, if a friend or two of mine can get off work early enough (it sucks having waiters and bartenders as most of your friends).

    I checked at the cinemas closest to me (in Melbourne) and most of them are having midnight screenings. But they were all booked out within the first few hours of ticket sales. It's probably best to check with your local cinemas.

    Last year I saw Fellowship on the 27th (2nd day of release), and I didn't even have to book the tickets. I just went up to the counter 30mins before it started and bought them. Doubt I could do that again though!

    Let me say that again:

    Wow!

    Go get your fixes, this is a masterpiece! Loved Gollum, and that big battle at Helms Deep. Incredible!!!

    Geez. I just checked showtimes on Moviefone in Manhattan. SIX midnight showings tonight in the city are completely sold out. Wow. Every theater here has at least one sell-out showing.

    This movie is gonna be huge. It gets a 98% fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes. That's super impressive. (The Fellowship of the Ring got a 95% fresh rating.)

    NZ, a country of dorks: five midnight showings at one downtown theatre, all of which are sold out.

    We're seeing it out in the suburbs, at midnight tonight - four hours' time. The same time as the Wellington premiere. Peter Jackson, I am with you in spirit!
