Sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender. Takes place 70 years after the original story. I watched the first episode on my DVR, and it was very entertaining. Anybody else watching?
Not yet. I saw the previews and was not blown away The modernization . . .seems a bit distracting. Rocket River
It's good. watch it. It going to be fun to see how the past heroes shaped the world. We've already seen the influences of Aang, Toph, and Katara in the first hour and probably some other Easter eggs I've missed. I know this is a of mini series, but with the tremendous ratings the show has already received they should think about doing a series about the events immediately after the first series ended.
Hell yeah I'm watching. Loving it so far. Avatar's unique mix of action and mature humor really fills a niche in animation today and Korra's continuing that tradition. Between new episodes of this show, Young Justice, Green Lantern, and to a lesser extent, the Avengers, it's like 2012 is a new golden age of action animation. There's a comic called "The Promise" made by the show creators that covers the happenings after the war up to Legend of Korra. It's pretty good and the artwork is top notch. It's a trilogy and Part 1 is already out. I'm pretty sure you can find it online if you know where to look. Part 2 will be released May 30th.
I was a huge fan of the first series and this one is looking good as well. New episode to air in 57 minutes.
I watched some of one episode seemed pretty good but I was on the way out the door. I'll have to find it online or see when the next airing for the first episode.
This show is awesome...I love animations like these, brings back my childhodd. Can Anybody recommend some shows like this?
Watched some of it, looks pretty decent and will definitely record every episode because I loved the first series but so far I can't say that I've grown attached to it yet. Not feeling the characters either but we'll see if that changes.
Just downloaded and watched the latest episode. Pretty good. Found the stakes a little underwhelming, probably due to just watching the Young Justice season finale (and season 2 starts next week! Whoo!), but the characterizations action and humor remain the best in the business. The fight scenes were intense. 4 of 4 on my action animated series today. Korra, Thundercats, YJ, and Green Lantern were all pretty good.
