Thank You! Series not over till the fat lady sings. Basketball is a game of runs and what not. You never know.
The series was over when the Rockets lost game 1 at home to the Clips without CP3. The sooner people accept the reality that the Rockets are done, the better off they'll be. They may win game 5 at home, but they're not even the favorites to win that game. That's how low the perception is of this team. If they do somehow win game 5, that'll just be a prolongation of the inevitable, which is losing at LA in game 6.
The NY Rangers were down 3-1 and losing 1-0 in game 5 with 101 seconds to go. They just forced a game 7. Never lose hope
I definitely appreciate your attempts at a positive thread. CF has been such a downer lately I can hardly even stand to log in. I am strongly considering a month or two hiatus from reading the boards, because when I have the urge to feel sad and depressed my preference has always been Sarah McLachlan, City of Angels, and bonbons.
Just checked regular season schedule, we actually have 7 back to back losses. We actually won at least 2 straight games after the said losses
The Rockets haven't lost 3 in a row all season long. But they also weren't surrendering 114.2 PPG during the regular season like they're doing in the playoffs(119.5 PPG in this series). And the Rockets responded well to getting their asses whooped in the regular season. That didn't happen in Game 4. So no offense, but the past is definitely not prologue with the Rockets right now. If you think they're gonna win tomorrow simply because it's at home and they haven't lost 3 in a row all year, you're delusional. They certainly can win if they play defense for 48 minutes, Harden is aggressive, their bench shows up, and they knock down free throws and 3-pointers. But given that this has yet to happen for an entire game all series, I ain't holding my breath.
The Rangers losses were mostly close games. They were never blown out in their losses. Game 1 : lose with 1.3s left Game 3 : 1-0 loss Game 4 : Tied going into the 3rd period, lost by 1 goal In other words, those games could all have gone either way. The Rockets just got blown out twice and their first loss was to a Clippers team coming off a tough game 7 against the Spurs and without Chris Paul. For the Rockets' last 2 games, "either way" meant lose by a lot, or get run out of the building.
