The Lakers didn't show toughness, they showed the true color of a team in fear.

Which is their color - yella!

It's a befitting color for a team that is a disgrace to the Showtime and even the Lake Show.

In game 1, the Rockets showed us something we can all love.

    Grit.

Who doesn't appreciate that? Shane Battier bleeding, Yao shaking off pain and refusing to go to the locker room. That inspires the iconic images of Willis Reed, Mean Joe Greene, and countless others who overcome pain to deliver when they could have easily sat out and not have their dignity challenged. For that, I have a deep admiration for this Rockets team, one that in terms of grit, is unmatched even by the beloved mid-90's team.

I've never rooted for a team that has shown so much character.

In game 2, we saw what a team that doesn't have this kind of character does in response. The Lakers walked into this series acting like they were going up against Barney, and they end up bringing a pillow to a blooding 7 round boxing match. They were embarrassed in round 1, and everyone said they were not tough.

So they figured, it's time to show the world that they can be like Mike. Mike Tyson that is. They might as well tried to bite of Scola's ear. That take down was more MMA than basketball. And Kobes elbow to the upper body of Artest shows what a team that isn't tough responds when issued a challenge.

    They get dirty.

And frankly, that's fine by me. Because true grit beats the scum of the earth any day of the week. And if that's how the Lakers think they are going to win this series, they are dead wrong. They won't unnerve this team, and they haven't unnerved this team. Artest was in control. His actions were a brilliant calculation that will bring the microscope upon Kobe and the Lakers for their dirty play.

And on us, but guess what, we play with grit, not cheap shots.

The Lakers are now a dirty team, the whole league can see it.

And all that does it makes gritty teams dig in more and play harder.

You will see an ugly ugly game 3. One where Landry, Scola, Battier, Artest play with the kind of fire that a cheap shot team like the Lakers won't have an answer too.

You will see Gasol be cut off from his inside positon and easy buckets. You will see Kobe standing once again alone, and you will see the Rockets go from the guy who just got sucker punched to the team that delivers a blow so hard that it will knock the Lakers to the floor and make see what it really means to be a true champion in sports. Not just about the end result, but the way a team approaches the game.

Our guys may not have the talent, but this team has the heart.....and courage of a champion.

No doubt that the Lakers reaction last night was created by fear. Unfortunately, for them playing dirty and trash talking to the announcers doesn't fool anyone into thinking they are a tough team. Last night was an act of desperation. It was all they could think to do so that they can try to look each other in the eye or look at themselves in the mirror and say "we are going to win this series."

I'm not sure if they really convinced themselves. I doubt they did. I'm sure they didn't scare the Rockets, however.

I saw the Rockets take a collective sucker punch, get up off the floor and say "we'll match your dirty tactics by playing even tougher. see you in Houston."

"As for Kobe not getting suspended, eh I can see it, hard to say intent for sure. I am not a fan of Kobe at all, just not sure this deserved for him to be suspended.....either way, houston needs to hold their court these next to games to go up 3-1 and win it all in 6." - a CAVS fan

"F**k that game. TURN IT RIGHT UP HOUSTON. Turn the heat up in Houston and really punish these guys. Play tough and physical, but stay cool. Ron, get them back by winning the series, no other retaliation necessary.

I think I'm going with the Rockets. 1995 was a tough, tough series to lose, but I like this current Rockets team. I know I am not supposed to go for the Rockets, but I really like this team." - a spurs fan

everyone sees how the lakers are now, you are right.
now they are behind us. with the same hate toward the lakers. they see us with the heart while they see the silver spoon in kobe's mouth.

we go into battle giving all we got
    we will make our mark
against the empire of los angeles

....and we will slap that silver spoon out his mouth

The lakers team just don't know what the real toughness is, they felt the pressure and pretend to know it by playing dirty!

first 2 games in LA totlally exposed the weakness and fear of the Lakers.
