Does anybody know what the prices for tickets are like? You can't just go to ticketmaster and buy them, so I imagine they might be a little steep. I want to go see Adam Ferrara in August and I just wanted to know if A. I can afford it? B. Is there an age limit, since I'm not 21?

I've paid anywhere between $10-$30 per ticket, depending on the headliner and the day of week/showtime. Keep in mind, however, that there is a two drink minimum (non-alcoholic beverages are available) so to be safe, figure in at least an extra $10/person.

You can order your tickets about 6 weeks in advance in person at the boxoffice or over the phone/fax. Don't wait too long to order your tickets, or you might end up in the very back of the room.

You might try calling them during business hours to find out the age requirement and exact price. You might also get information from their website: http://www.laffstop.com.

As David Cross said when he played there: 'The Laff Stop. Where the laughs stop!'

Oh well, it was funny when *he* said it...

Speaking of David Cross, I picked up the first and second seasons of Mr. Show on DVD over the weekend. So freakin' funny! I was in tears when the Spank the performance artist was trying to make his 'statement' on the American flag.

You can buy tickets over the phone or at the box office... at the box office is best cause you can see your choice of seats. Like another poster posted, tix are $10-$30 depending on the performer! Have fun!

Go see Carlos Mencia if you get a chance(and if you are able to handle "sensitive" issues).

drapg: I posted in a thread about a month and a half ago if anybody knew any stand up comedians that would be interested in mentoring me for a semester of independent study my senior year of high school.

Sadly, no one took me seriously. ;)

I was wondering if you could get me in contact with you dad's friend. I need to find a mentor by mid-July and still can't find anyone.

If you could help, please email me at qwerty030@hotmail.com or post any info.

    :)
