nothing surprising there i would imagine - but in reality it's more then buying back into the motion offense. I think we've seen this team go back from something really incredible we saw a few months ago to something all too familiar.

I had a fear that we'd revert to old ways back in the playoffs when opposing defenses picked up the intensity - but now i don't think that's the reason, because this started happening back in march.

bobby jackson and rafer must get their t-mates involved by creating easy shots for them or the opportunity to pass with time on the shot clock. we look a bit frenetic and rushed - and that's playing into utah's hand. particularly at fault was jackson. it just wasn't his shooting percentage, it was his shot selection and lack of assists.

of all people to set the tone, you'd think bobby jackson would be the one. the guy comes from adelman's system, and yet he plays more like mike james.

If Jackson can show some leadership in passing, it will do two things: we'll see the rest of the rockets play better as they get more touches and
t-mac won't be so tired in the 4th because he won't need to carry the team as much.

So that's my call. If Jackson does that, and we can keep t-mac rested, we should win game 5.

Passing the ball & creating for others are not his strengths.

He just has to make his shots.

Rested for what? His big 4th quarter finale?!

that's exactly right. t-mac has to play well in the 4th qtr - meaning he doesn't expend all his energy just keeping us in the game for 3 qtrs.

bobby jackson has to pick up the slack because its not going to be bonzi.

It's not going to be Mike James' contract either.

you can see tonight why the lakers are a great team.

kobe didn't attempt more than a shot for 17 mins in the 2nd half, and got a 4 min rest to start the 4th and his team didn't lose any ground. he came back in around the 9 min mark, took over around the 6 min mark.

we gotta relieve the pressure on tracy. guys need to step up and TAKE and MAKE shots.

The PGs could have a chance to get their teammates some good looks, if they started to be a bit more active by cutting and running behind screens. Atm, most of the team just stands there watching T-Mac jack up a jumper. On the other hand, the Jazz are cutting like their's no tomorrow.

"I think we've been playing way too much pick-and-roll," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. "You have to mix in other things. It's still the key play for both teams, but we have to do it a little bit different so they don't get in a comfort zone."

i like what i'm hearing from adelman. should've realized this and enforced the change earlier, imho.

He can't rest. They're not going to have some epiphany out there and suddenly realize how to run Adelman's offense to perfection. When T-Mac sits, we lose.

If anybody were going to be the X-Factor that could propel us to victory, I'd say Scola. He shot over 50% the entire year and had stretches where he was reguarly getting around 20 points and 10 boards. For some reason he can't get anything going. Probably due to physical play with no fouls being called.

That pisses me off just thinking about it. How the **** are we getting called for more fouls than the Jazz?

Remember that 10-0 run that the Rockets put on the Jazz with three minutes left on the clock to win game 3 in Utah? McGrady scored seven points, got a couple of rebounds and blocked a shot during that run. Not coincidentally, that game saw the biggest contributions from other Rockets like Jackson, Alston, Scola and Landry.

If we are depending on BJax to create, then this series is over, and we might as well discuss who we gonna get in the draft. Bobby Jackson is not a creator and facilitator. He's a gunner, a finisher. That's it.
