    When yao ming is asked
"Did you see a guy with Dirk's height and shoot 3's so accurate?"

    Yao ming answered:

    "I".

Will Yao ming shoot 3's as Dirk?

I hope not. We need to exploit his size in the paint.

However, I would like to see him take more 12-15 ft face up jumpers. He is deadly with those.

He can shoot out there, and one day may move out to that point for the fun of it, like Garnett.

The one he shot at the buzzer didnt look to hot. He can probaly shoot out there but that something he can start doing in a few years. Just get his post game consistent than add the downtown threat and he should be unstopable. The worst thing he can do is start playing 6'5 instead of 7'5

That shot at the buzzer was a desperation shot. Yao had no chance to even set up the shot, it was just a throw up.
I'd like to see him take a 3 occassionally, but not in a crucial game moment, but like at the end of a game like Hakeem used to do.
Although, if it came down to the last shot of a game, having Yao at the top, as has been done before, gives the ROX another shooter out there if nobody else can get the shot off.
He can do it if need be.

I was at that game... he just threw it up.. can't do much less then a second left while running after the looseball on a jump ball with about 2 seconds left on the clock. The truth? Every fan in the arena thought the shot was after the buzzer anyway... so yeah, a depseration shot is what it was.
