Girlfriend got it on Wednesday...I took care of her for a few hours Wednesday evening, and now I've got it. Not really running a fever, but I'm congested and achy with a scratchy throat. Gonna try to sweat it out tonight. Anyone else had it yet this year? It's a bad year for the flu.
don't know if it was the flu, but i was sick from last friday until about tuesday. never ran a fever, but i had a sore throat for a couple days, and bad cough for a few days too... and have had a runny nose the whole time, it still is, though i feel fine now.
My sister got it 2 weeks ago, then my mom, then my dad. They are still all fairly sick, but i'm the only one who hasnt gotten it yet.
you taking the flu shot? I dunno, I've gotten the flu shot every year as long as I can remember...probably 10 years minimum. Anyway, it's always protected me.. (though I know it doesn't protect against everything)
i got one this year...my entire office went down with the flu over the last 2 weeks, except for me. read an article that doctors were saying flu was milder here this year than in years past. that it wasn't the more severe strains that we've had over the past couple of years.
I got a really nasty flu 2 weeks ago. The OTC drugs didn't help at all. I was practically paralyzed on my bed for the whole week. It went away only after my doctor put me on antibiotics.
I had it two weeks ago and missed some work. I'm only now starting to feel normal again. The sweats and the aches, they were the suck.
Have you tried zinc? I felt a cold coming on, took some zinc lozenges and was back to normal in 4 days. But it did mess with my taste buds.
My 5-year-old's half Kinder class got it and missed half of last week of school, and so did she. She's barely getting rid of it with some Tamiflu from the prescription, and now my eight-year-old has started showing symptoms... fever, body aches, etc. What can you do, really...? Quarantine the kids? Damn you, INFLUENZA. Off to HEB or FIESTA to buy ORANGES.
