Typed this up just a while ago. For my newspaper class our teacher wanted us to write about something eventful taking place in the city of Houston.
( It's a highschool class)

Houston Rockets fans better grab their seat belts as another Rocket has launched at Toyota Center. The long anticipated lift off of Tracy Mcgrady came to realization this past Tuesday against the streaking hot Detroit Pistons. With Trevor Ariza serving a one game suspension for his attempted Mohammed Ali impersonation against Demar Derozan of the Toronto Raptors this past Sunday it created an opportunistic time for the seven time all-star to make an appearance. Mcgrady had been out of game action since February of 2009 after announcing he would undergo season ending micro fracture surgery on his left knee. A surgery with the average recovery timetable ranging between six to twelve months.

It was only an hour before game time when Coach Rick Adelman called Mcgrady into his office and informed him that he would be coming off the bench for a minute amount of minutes. Adelman stated that Mcgrady would play around seven minutes in the game, all coming within the first half of play. Mcgrady had been eager to play all season after declaring himself fully recovered weeks before, but the Rockets medical staff wanted to be 100 percent sure that Mcgrady was ready for game time situations so that no other health problems could surface.

As the fans dwindled into Toyota Center they noticed something different, something out of the ordinary on the Rockets bench. A man who they were used to seeing in a black top tuxedo and dress shoes was now wearing a bright uniform lined with rocket red. It was at that particular moment when everyone in the stadium realized what was occurring right in front of there very eyes. A player whom for the past 9-10 months had fallen onto the dark side of many Rocket fans, and also fallen off the face of the NBA world was making his presence known. It didn’t matter whether you liked the player or not, you still recognized his presence when he stepped onto the court, and acknowledged that without a doubt he is a game changer, and one of the biggest pieces of the organization.

It might of been only eight minutes in which he was on the court, but it was undoubtedly the most watched, and scrutinized eight minutes of tape recorded all year. It was this eight minute cameo that everyone in the NBA had been waiting for. So much so that a standing ovation of nearly 15,000 in Rocket red rose to cheer him on. The impact he created on the game itself was minuscule 3 points 3 rebounds in eight minutes of work. The true impact has yet to come, questions still need to be answered, rumors gossiped. What we do know for sure is that this man, call him what you want T Mac, T Attack, T Lazy or simply Tracy Mcgrady has the potential to shift the power in the NBA, and change the future of organizations league wide.

I'm not a tracy only fan haha.

I'm simply stating how important of a role he plays within the organization.
Like it or not he is a huge factor in our season.
