Guttenberg, NJ – October 26th, 2005 – The Horror Channel (THC), a leading broadband content provider of horror, terror and suspense programming, announced today that it will present a tribute to film director George A. Romero on The Men’s Channel at midnight EDT on Thursday, October 27th.

The Men’s Channel is carried nationwide on both cable and satellite. Programming will feature films, interviews, music videos and other content including great shopping opportunities for horror fans and collectors. Following the premiere on October 27th, additional programming from THC can be seen on The Men's Channel on Saturday nights at midnight (eastern) starting November 5th.

“We are thrilled to present our programming on The Men's Channel. This gives us a significant new opportunity to reach our core demographic of viewers,” said Nicholas Psaltos, Founder and General Manager of THC. “We are fortunate to have gained the support of The Networks Group in this effort.” The Networks Group, which operates The Men’s Channel, is a division of Turner Media Group.

To date, THC has emerged as the leading broadband provider of horror content by leveraging emerging technologies to deliver full length feature films, documentaries and other horror, terror and suspense themed content directly over the Internet. The Web site “www.horrorchannel.com” offers the rabid horror fan a plethora of all things horror including contests, merchandise, T-shirts, advertising and sponsorship opportunities, an event calendar that includes all major horror festivities across the country, news headlines, forums, petitions, links, etc.

“We are very excited about the success of our online property,” says John Giunti, Co-Founder, COO and CIO. “Thanks to our fans, within a relatively short period we have emerged as the premiere online destination for horror content. We are continuing to build upon this foundation by leveraging leading technologies to deliver interactive capabilities between the cable/satellite television and online experiences for our fans.”

Marc Krigsman, COO of The Networks Group, said, "The Men's Channel is dedicated to bringing our viewers targeted content with contextually relevant commerce. The presentation of programming from THC is another way we continue to reach our enthusiastic viewers with transactional content. Viewers will be able to log on or dial up and buy the latest horror-themed products, DVDs, clothes and collectibles."

95% of horror movies are crap, but I have Dish and hopefully they'll actually play the good ones from time to time.

If here is Houston, then no Time Warner doesn't carry i with basic cable. It is on Dish/DirecTV though.

It's pretty good, but obviously since it is a channel devoted entirely to games (and tech gagets) it has a lot of show repeats. They just added the Man Show to the line up though.
