They got destroyed tonight and are looking like they are going to be swept. I always felt that they were one of the most talented teams in the east. Does anyone else think that the firing of Paul Silas and hiring Tim Floyd was the worst move of the last offseason?
I heard they most of the players do not respect Tim Floyd as the coach and that is the main reason why they played poorly for the last 2/3 of the season after a 17-7 start.
I live really close to NO so i casually follow them but dont really care but thats pretty much the same that i have heard. There were also a bunch of problems when Mashburn came back. He didnt get along with Floyd the least bit.
I know Our division will have Us, Dal, SA, and NO next year. What team is going to be the 5th? Denver? Minnesota?
The Hornets should not be so bad. They have PJ Brown and Jamaal Magloire, two decent big men, and they play in the East. Baron Davis is The Goods. Granted, Mashburn's absence means a lot. But his time is just about done. I used to think it was too bad the Hornets were coming out West, but now, not so bad a deal, you know?
It starts with the Organization, and NO's is the worst east of Sterling's... They will have a major shake up and still their place will empty out.
I have to agree. They do a better job of fielding a competitive team on the cheap than the Clippers do, but it seems to me that the ownership is creating a lot of resentment on the team. I doubt they will ever be much more than first round fodder under that ownership group.
Our new division next year will be: San Antonio Dallas Memphis Houston New Orleans Pretty killer division, eh?
Nobody mentioned this but I heard Mash was sent home by the Organization or coach and I am not sure for what but could the players have been protesting that decision by tanking the game. I know Mash was injured but he is still part of the team and maybe playeres were upset he was sent home. I don't know, just an idea. Peace.
I believe the issue there was that Mashburn felt that his injury was misdiagnosed because the organization was willing to sacrifice his health to get him back on the court asap. When he called them out, the team dismissed him. Probably a good idea for the Hornets to keep him away because that stuff is a distraction to the team. But, I can't help but wonder how many of his teammates think Mash is right that the team put his health at risk.
something i will never understand: They got rid of Paul Silas for Tim Floyd Thats like trading in a bmw for a kia. They're both cares but its pretty damn obvious to a kid which one is the better one
