Always on the brink of elimination and were lucky to win last year. This should not be remembered as a dominant run.
This thread made me laugh, cry, and realise the futility of my own existence. 5/5, would read again, would lobby for sequel.
They were pretty dominant when they won those 27 straight games. Measuring teams by how 'dominant' they were is a stupid standard for stupid fans, by the way.
4 straight trips to the Finals and 2 rings is a fairly dominant run no matter how you look at it. You're overreacting and this thread is dumb.
Whats lebrons legacy when he won 2/5 championships? Now hes not on par with jordan he is now below him
Kind of a mixed bag. Their 27 game win streak and their dismantiling of the Thunder a couple of years ago were impressive. But they've also shown that can be really lazy and lethargic because of their great talent.
This, especially the bolded part. You don't luck into 2 straight rings. The Heat still had to close out San Antonio in that 7th game - it wasn't like the Ray Allen 3 won the series for them.
I'm tired of what the sports culture is becoming. It's not enough to win anymore.. How many did you win? How dominant were your wins? When was the last time you won?
Why? Danny Green made 25 3pointers in 5 games, and Tony Parker hit lucky shots. It's part of the game. Lakers should have lost in 2002 also They were pretty good from 2010-2013. This year, they kind of took a nose dive. Them giving up rebounding and size advantage finally caught up to them Good run, 4 finals, 2 rings, LBJ with 2 MVP and FMVP. Spurs just better coach and know how to exploit Miami's weakness
You are right. They went through injuries though. I think it took time for them to go from a three stars team to a more team oriented playing style the fans can witness today. and yeah dang, I hope they retire soon.
