When Jackson hit that three and the Heat came rushing onto the court and the Rockets had no timeouts left, so they imbounded the ball, and the Heat were still on the court. THAT'S A TECHNICAL!!!!!!!!!

    So what?

We lost by 3, so if we hit the technical, we'd still be stuck with the ball under the heat basket. So we'd have to make the desperation heave with or without the technical...

Well, if the Rockets had made the technical, they would have cut the lead to two. They could have called a timeout, which would have been a technical foul, because they had none left. They could have had the ball at midcourt, down three, with just enough time to get a reasonable shot off.

You think that the Rockets would have gotten the ball at midcourt after getting a technical with the ball under the Heat basket?

    BGM,

If the Rockets call a timeout with none remaining, the Heat shoot a tech but the Rockets get to inbound at half-court. So ZRB is assuming that both teams make their FTs and then we inbound still down by three.

I did not know a team gets the ball at halfcourt. If that were the case, then what exactly is the point in calling the "Chris Webber" timeout if the Rockets get the ball at halfcourt anyway from shooting a tech?
