LOWRY and LANDRY. I have such a mancrush for these guys its not even funny. You guys do have to agree, even though we lost. We played with some major heart and hustle thanks to these guys. Regardless of the result and minus the flopping match that was going on, these guys made it fun to watch.
It's a Rockets fan board so if you don't want to see threads about how good the players are that have made the Rockets such a pure joy to watch then you should try another hobby.
yes they 2 are my favorite players in this team right now.especially landry, great leader off bench ,real beast attacking the rim ,and never to give up . wishing them could reach a new level after this season.
We have no leader. Seriously. Not to be a hater or anything but all I see are a bunch of guys playing together. The Leader is the closer. Do we have one?? No not on this team. Well no one thats playing.
Didn't ya know, they grow on trees during practice. I mean, if you believe the GARM the only player that should touch the ball in the 4th quarter are Carl Landry and maybe Budinger. Oh wait, folks dont actually offer much of a strategy that would be a good option, but are really quick to whine about what doesn't work.
The whole post was sarcasm. But yes, I have seen a few murmurs of Chase playing more at the expense of Battier or Ariza.
Well he is shooting better than the both of them and his defense isn't that bad. Im sure a coach will leave anyone on the floor longer than planned if they hustle their butts off and Chase has been doing that.
Oh no doubt, and I actually think if the trends continue you will see Chase closing some games as the season wears on. I don't quite think he is ready, but he is definately getting there.
Scola and Battier are the leaders. Brooks - best offensive weapon. Chuck - great hardworker. Ariza - overrated player. Landry and Lowry - best energizing duo from the bench in the NBA.
Yeah but then again you have to remember who the coach is.. The guy loves his starters and has a track record of over playing his starters throughout the game
Scola/Hayes tend to disagree. Closing lineup for last 2 minutes is usually Brooks/Battier/Ariza/Landry/Lowry or Scola. Probably more due to certain matchups. Against good post up guards/wings I dont think Budinger will be in there. Against spot up 2's/3's maybe he gets more minutes.
There are different kind of leaders, some teams have leaders but not on the court, i mean, many teams have one or two go-to guys or scoring leaders but this team doesn't have one right now. We have leaders on work ethics, hustle and passion for the game: Luis (let's not forget that he's a real winner a huge competitor, in europe and with the ANT, unselfish and he'll do anything to win) Shane and Carl are the best examples. They just never give up and play hard everygame so they are the mirror for the other players to look at and they carry the team in those aspects. T-mac, he's a scoring leader (when on the court) but i don't know if he can be a leader in other aspects of the game and yao is out for the season, so we have a different standard of leaders in my opinion, but i like our leaders very much.
Don't forget about Mutombo type of leaders. Deke almost didn't play last season, but how this time had changed, when Dikembe came in back! This is kind of leadership, too. I will never understand Les and DM if they wouldn't retire his jersey
