again, the hawks are terrible... whats new. anyways, they have the second pick in the draft, where they will probably draft marvin williams. if they do this they will have an overload of small forwards on the team and will likely need to trade either:

    Al harrington
    josh smith
    josh childress

I honestly would love josh smith. the kid avg. almost 2 blocks a game(1.95 blks a game). his pure atheleticsm would greatly be needed on this team. but regardless i think i would take any of these players. what does everyone else think?

imo, if your the hawks and as miserable as you are, you keep them all. No more gambling, wait and see who you think will develop and become the best players. I don't see them being hasty and dumping anyone.

The Hawks are terrible...yeah they are probably going to want to trade their most marketable player they have in Slam Dunk Champion Josh Smith. ;)

If the Hawks take Williams then I see them moving Al Harrington

I thought Harrington could play(and was played at) PF...
And as I recall josh smith and josh childress can both play SG and SF...

Gbri your right. Although Harrington is better at the 3 he can play the 4. The Hawks are bad but this isnt that much of an issue.

i know, but the rox could make it an issue... i know now with walker gone... harrington can play the 4. can he play it well? not really... if your paying the guy you should atleast try to put where he is atleast effective. regardless, the thought of them being overloaded at a position intrigued me with how the rox could possibly exploit the hawks situation.

If the Bucks don't take Bogut then the Hawks will obviously pick him. Otherwise, they will probably trade down and draft a PG.

Childress and Smith are practically untouchable. Harrington, even if they draft Marvin Williams, probably isn't available for anything we have.

I brought this up about a 100 times during the playoffs. Why are the Mavs still in this series... because of the freaking ineptitude of the Atlanta Hawks.

They should just contract them, or move them to a different city (possibly back to St. Louis). That franchise just needs a "reset" button in the worst way.

No kidding, even when they were winning they had no fan support, I've always wondered why this francise didn't move a long time ago.

I see the Hawks trading down with CHA for their #5 and #13. Charlotte gets Williams, Atlanta gets two future starters at PG and Center. Then they can sign Swift outright for more than anyone else can, and they are set long term, and competing in 2 or 3 years.

You don't get rid of either Josh ... maybe Harrrington.

i think all this talk is ridiculous because with those three SF the hawks will definitely take Chrise Paul. the hawks need a PG like Ricky Martin needs another hit song. I think marvin williams is the best player in the draft but that doesn't really mean anything because the best player usually never gets picked #1. the bucks will probably fall for the bogut hype and that will leave the hawks with a nice PG prospect in Paul. they would be dumb not to take him, but they are the hawks.
