What's up with that? I think sometime in the mid 80s there was one where Splashtown is now. What happened, why did it last for only a couple of years? Did any of the old timers here happen to go, if so any stories or thoughts on it? Just curious.

Went a bunch of times as a kid. Don't remember what happened other that it didn't last long before becoming Splashtown.

I was young. The only thing I remember is that they had a thing where you stood in front of a green screen and they put you into one of the cartoons.

Yeah I remember going with my grandfather. They also had some thing where you could type your name and it would appear on a giant screen. I was only 5, but I actually remember going and how excited I was.

I went to Hanna Barbara Land once to see KIT. You know, Michael Knight's car from Knight Rider. I sat in it and it was awesome. That was the only memory I have of the place.

My niece who just recently turned 14 overheard me talking about Astroworld, she had no clue what it was. We're on the verge of having adults that have no clue about Astroworld.

    I'm 27, I felt about 60.

Yep. It was a Scooby Doo cartoon that they put you in. I went there 5 or 6 times (I was 7 and 8 in 84 and 85). It was like a lower rent Astroworld.

We saw KITT over there too, they'd do photo ops for the kids sitting behind the wheel. We still have the photos. It was a cool place.

Yes! I remember my parents taking me there! sniff sniff...good ol' days. At least I've taken mine to Seaworld. Maybe it's time for another trip to one of these places.

I was watching that video all like, "Ehh, Smurfs suck." Then I saw Captain Caveman hanging out and going to get in line for some roller coaster, and I was all like, "Dude...!"
