i dont know if this is right forum or not but this 7'2 kid from iran is really good and would be a perfect backup for yao hes really fluid and very talented do you think rockets can get him next year in draft or something as second round? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamed_Hadadi also since he already was in draft before does it mean that any team can sign him without having to wait for draft?
he'll be a good fit in LA or Houston, they both have big persian populations, but they both also have great young centers!
its sad if stupid politics prevent athletes from playing in the best league in the world! you see what yao has done for america and china relations it would be nice if hadadi can be another diplomatic bridge
He has looked pretty good in the Olympics. Would not mind getting him, but it does not look like any team will.
wow that's bull**** altho Stern's probably not losing any sleep over not letting an Iranian into the league
he would if the player was going to the lakers... they've got their own mini iran over there. and by mini i mean the whole city.
I find Rockets fans to be some of the best/more friendly fans around I've been a Rockets fan ever since I was 5 (odd for someone who's lived almost their whole life in Ohio)...mainly cuz Hakeem got me hooked...I think since then Houstonians haven't associated this negative Stigma with Muslims or Foreigners in General...and to be honest I was expecting some posts in here along the lines of...why would we want a terrorist on our team, or something similar. BTW, im Half Iranian if the Rockets were to sign him...your fanbase would grow TREMENDOUSLY there are already threads on Iranian sports forums talking about the possibilities he might go to the Houston, and Iranians are readying themselves to jump behind whichever team signs him I think he would be a great signing, not only because of our Big Man needs...but it would be good for the Rockets Financially as well!
didn't Stern play a Major Hand in having the Iranian national team play in Utah? Im sure it would not be a problem in the least bit. If Russians/Salvs were playing in the NBA during the Cold War, im positive this guy wouldn't have trouble playing here as well.
He was schooling oberto and scola on the offensive game. for a guy who has never played in a professional league prior to the olympics, he's game is extraordinarily refined. if an nba picks him up and fine tunes he's conditioning and polishes he's allready skilled and solid game, he could be anything. this is a guy who scored 20 points twenty rebounds and 5 blocks in one game on darko and kiristic. he's rebounding is very good. he's got all the tools to be a very good player. he's certianly a top 5 pick draft type player. maybe even higher.
