I think this is my compomise

HIRE STAN VAN GUNDY AS OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR!

Why not, if Stan is opening to coaching again, which I think he would be, why not look into it.

If Jeff allows him to completely take over the offensive schemes of the team, and only lets him alone talk to the media instead of himself.

Stan wouldn't do it. That would be cutting his coaching career short. He JUST moved from assistant coach to a head coach with Miami and did a good job I might add. If he goes back to being an assistant coach he'd be selling himself short.

i don't think that is possible. there just has to be a head coaching job available for him. he was just too good in miami to become an "offensive coordinator". it would definitely help us tremendously but i don't see that happening.

    Great idea, River.

I heard Gundy brothers' favorite pastime when they were young was playing ping pong against each other in their parents' garage. So now, before each Rockets game, Jeff and Stan would play a set of ping pong. If Stan won, the Rockets would play just offense. If Jeff won, the Rockets would stick with defense only.

How about we hire Stan to be head coach and demote Jeff to defensive coordinator, or even more appropriate, the team ball boy.
