What good is it for the Rockets to make the playoffs, if they get rattled by team that are passing or are playing good zone defense?

The only key this season for the Rockets is to build an identity. Right now they have no identity. Sometimes they want to be a penetrating team. Sometimes they want to be a post up team. Sometimes they think they are a 3 point shooting team. And they forget about the rest of the palyers and overall ability of the team.

Look, I like the Rockets being diverse offensivley. But, come on, like with the Spur, the Rockets wanted to penetrate and couldn't so they settled for BAD outside shots. They have Yao Ming posting up, so pass him the ball more. I'd rather Yao shoot a bad 8 foot jumper than Mobley shoot a bad 20 foot jumper. Becasue if Yao starts hitting those shots, then Mobley can start penetrating; hence he can get into the rythm to start shooting again.

It just boggles my mind that Mobley and Francis get into shooting slumps and they keep shooting. If their shot is off, they've got driving abilities that they should use to stay productive.

We've all see it, Francis and Mobley always get back into grove when they are driving the ball. And boom, those outside shots start falling.

This season could be a waste if the Rockets don't grow as a basketball team. Becasue right now, they take 1 steop forward, and they get excited and fall backward 3 steps. It's a young team, but sooner than later, this will be an old team that never did anything. There are so many team that were a young talented team than never amounted to anythhing. My favoirte was the Golden State warriors with Webber, Sprewell, Mulin, Hardaway, and Seikley. My other favorite team was the Denve Nuggets who's claim to fame was beating the Sonics.
