I see voters on T.V. elated to make a differance. I see reports of 2100+ force to do what I earlier asked for:...A border control force! There is evidence that Iraqis are being better trained and equipped for special ops taskforce teams, as evidenced from what I have seen from the media...I have seen definite reconstruction proof positive in Saddam's own hometown... Top associates of Zarqawi recently being arrested as well. The gloom and doom cites from the whack left are getting weaker.,...still it's a long road ahead, but I'm seeing the positive. How bout you?

I could be way off, But I think the Iraqi security forces will fold like a cheap suit once the rest of the Islamic militants, "insurgents", terrorists and fantics coming pouring out of the rotten framework of Iraq.

Are the number of insurgent attacks increasing or decreasing? Do you think that the Shiite leaders who will win the election are going to sit still while the Sunnis destroy Iraq one car bomb at a time?
What's wrong with looking at what is going right? Why dwell on the negatives? I am seeing too much positive to dwell and play with myself in the gloom and doom room. It's time to see what is really happening. I'm seeing what's happening in the media, and I'm seeing the positive shining through...

ROXRAN, the situation in Iraq is neither black nor white. Seeing Iraq in either completely positive or negative terms is superficial. That being said the situation in Iraq has been getting worse. There is some hope that the Shiite government that will be elected and that will replace the US's puppet, expatriate governing council will have a better go of it. These hopes have to be tempered with the reality that there is many years of built up animosity between the Shiiites and the Sunnis. Even without the Sunni insurgent attacks, the Shiites may have very well been looking for a little retribution come February 1.
I realize that and I even inferred that it's a long road meaning more positive needs to happen to overcome the negative aspects...After all, the glass isn't full, but I believe from what I have seen in the media recently is that they/we are taking steps to get the glass fuller...
Anyone else get the feeling that the "new and improved" Iraqi army we are building has a buttload of "sleeper" insurgents quietly waiting for the proper time to explode?
