All he is doing is dunking. He isn't breaking down any defenses. It's a hell of a lot easier to get the green light to the basket in college than in the pros.
Those are highlights brando not a collage of his overall game. I think dunking is one of the best ways to break down defenses. By the way Gay has a sweet jumper.
Thankz a lot I was feelin happy after watching the first 2 and then I watch the third and it killed off my day.
i can't belivee we traded rudy gay ... it's like ur son giving away ur baseball card collection to the neighbor's kid ... you don't know what to say
I dont know about you guys, but i prefer the old TMAC <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-B6wigeTMxc"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-B6wigeTMxc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Gray is a great finisher and he routinely hit his jumpers over college threes. That being said, he has a very limited handle, is not a good passer, does not see the floor well, has a pretty average mid-range game, and he will not get shots off as cleanly against NBA threes. Now, all of that can be improved with practice because he is a phenomenal athlete, but it will take awhile. The dude has the most upside of anyone in this draft, really, but he is also a major project. People like to compare him to Villanueva, yet Villanueva was a combo forward in college who almost exclusively played the three against smaller wings where he could back them down in the paint and score because of his size, wingspan, and touch around the rim. Gay will not have that luxury. His early contributions will come from finding open spaces in the floor and being on the receiving end of scorers passing out of double teams--that and run outs will be his only weapons at this stage. Of course, that is exactly the Rox game plan, but...oh, well. I do like Battier, I promise.
Stromile was fun to watch too ...for about 14 seconds a game. Eddie Griffin was fun ...for about 39 seconds.
Gay is gonna be great player but its going to take him at least 3 years to get there. Even Tracy did not turn into t-mac till after he left toronto. So look at it this way whos to say that rudy would have reached his potential while he was still a rocket. Tracy was avarage at best till he became 1st option in Orlando. As long as we have Yao great guards are going to want to come to houston. You think kobe or even lebron would pass up playing with yao if we had the cap space to sign them. I think thats secretly one of the reasons Lbj is waiting to sign that extention , after seeing what wade did with shaq he wants to play with a great center as well.
wow TMAC was awesome back in the days but you can really see the maturity of his demeanor since then. I think i would prefer the overall game of tmac of today he is alot stronger.
i know... right? it's like dropping your kids off for the first day of school or something. i mean... you're already sad that you're dropping them off and then to top it off... they get kidnapped or something like that. (sorry if that didn't make sense) thanks for the first two clips. blow the third clip out your arse.
I'll bet if someone really tried, they could make a pretty nice 3 minute video of Ryan Bown that would make him look like Larry Bird.
LOL this is OT but I cant post new threads so: Rockets scoring machine Tracy McGrady has led the NBA in scoring and has made five trips to the league's All-Star game. Now, he's trying to conquer the softball world. McGrady will have an opportunity to show off his softball skills on Saturday, Aug. 5 when he hosts the second annual T-Mac Celebrity Softball Tournament. The tournament will raise money for the renovation of the library and technology area at Ross Elementary School in Houston. "I am very pleased to participate in something so positive for youth in the Houston community," McGrady said. "I've seen the encouragement and impact new equipment can make in a child's desire and ability to learn and I feel like this tournament is a way to help make that difference a reality." McGrady has invited some of the top names in the NBA to join him on the diamond. Miami Heat big man Shaquille O'Neal and Philadelphia 76ers point guard Allen Iverson are scheduled to play for corporate-sponsored teams chasing the tournament's championship along with Los Angeles Clippers guard Cuttino Mobley and Toronto Raptors guard Mike James. Mobley and James are both former Rockets. The double-elimination charity tournament will be held at Baseball U.S.A., which is located at 2626 West Sam Houston Parkway North. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. The charity weekend will include a launch party and comedy show on Friday, Aug. 4 at Jillian's in the Marq*E Entertainment Center located at 7620 Katy Freeway. "We are grateful for Tracy McGrady's commitment to Houston youth," Houston Independent School District Superintendent Abe Saavedra said. "We thank him for his support and believe his efforts will have a positive, far-reaching impact on Ross students and their future endeavors." Tickets for the softball tournament are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
Dude, are you telling me that Lebron wants to be a Rocket? It gets me so excited that I don't think I can sleep for at least a week.
