My entire family has the flu, my 4 year old my 11 month old, my wife and me.

My oldest is getting over it, my youngest just got it, and my wife are just getting it.

Now, why am I sharing all this goodness with you?

Because, we went to the doctors office and found out that they have a new medicine that knocks it out in 24-48 hours.

So, my wife and I will probably not get to full blown flu...and the recovery for my boys will be swift.

So, if you feel the flu coming on...get to a doctor it could really help.

I will post the results of the medication as we go.

The product is Tamiflu. It stops the virus replicating from cell to cell.

but get a shot if you can and avoid altogether (hopefully), it is nasty!

Spreading the flu reminds me, I was watching that movie unfaithful last night, and I think I saw something pretty sick. I'm almost positive I saw the woman let her kid spit something out of his mouth into her hand. Then as they are walking down the hall she put the thing into her mouth and started chewing it. Did I really see that?

And then, I know I saw this, the kid is wearing a spaghetti strainer on his head and she takes it off his head and immediately drains spaghetti into it.

I got it in January of 2000, felt like crap Thursday afternoon at work, woke up Friday morning feeling like a train ran me over. Long story short, I was in bed until I went to work Tuesday morning. That was too soon and I did not get over it until the week after that. Never go back too soon.

Day 2, and the healing has already begun, dramatically.

Yesterday I was operating at about 25% and could feel the flu taking hold.

Today....am up to about 85% and feeling better as the day goes on.

Ah the joys of modern medicine.
