The Fall Of The Texas Triangle

With most of the league upgrading, especially the West’s playoff teams, the window for a Texas championship is closing......

I agree. The Texas Triangle wont be as threatening. Houston obviously wont be as good. Dallas has the talent but not championship caliber imo and remains to be seen if they can put it all together, & San Antonio, if they can stay healthy, they'll compete for the big prize and be head of the State of Texas, basketball wise.

However, I disagree about what they said about Ariza. I don't expect his stats to go up much more, if at all.

    They won't.

The best thing about a new NBA season is knowing that, without a doubt, Dallas are going in talking up their chances - and will soon enough be crying in their jerseys yet again.

I hate Dallas and L.a more then any team in the NBA, San Antonio and Utah never really bothered me much not like some people. I actually respect Sloan and Popovich, but can't stand Jackson or Cuban. Simply because Cuban is a owner / mascot and Jackson has been lucky with some of the greatest to ever play. I can't stand Kobe or Dirk. Williams, Duncan, Boozer don't bother me much at all. Kobe, Shaq could not stand those 2.

Please explain how you respect Sloan over Jackson? How do you respect Boozer over Shaq?

I think you might be confused.

It's not based on any achievements why i have to respect them. I just never liked the Lakers or Mavs. I could not stand Cuban too much. And i really never liked Kobe.

I understand why you hate Jackson/Cuban/Kobe and Dirk.

I can also understand you respecting Popovich and the Spurs/Duncan.

    But Utah?

Sloan? The guy that preaches flopping and playing dirty? AK47 and his flops? Okur with his horrible acting job? Boozer who can't keep a promise?

    Come on now.

Well i really don't care for Malone much or their flopping, it's because Houston untill lately usually could handle them. I thought Malone and Stockton were kinda dirty players, but they did not bother me enough because we would normally beat them in the 90's atleast.

    No, you got it wrong.

Jazz is enemy #1 no exceptions. Don't argue against it.

Stockton's 3 is my very first Rockets memory, and so the Jazz are the worst enemy. Period, though the Mavs are close. (Lakers and Spurs, not so much - I respect San Antonio as an opponent, and the Lakers can't be the worst enemy as long as they have Ron-Ron.)

Yea we might have beaten them more times than not, you need to realize that Houston had to claw their way to those victories each and every time...especially at the Delta Center.

The game clock malfunction that could have cost us the series if Hornacek (or Stockton I can't recall) had made that shot?

The bias calls the Jazz gets every single game from the 1990s up until 2009?

I don't hate them as much as I did when The Bearhug happened but you can't be a Rockets fan if you don't have any type of hatred for the Utah Jazz. That's like growing up in a Yankee household and saying "Yea...those Red Sox guys aren't that bad. They don't bother me as much"

I don't see too much difference unfortunately San Antiono and Dallas have always been several notches above Houston for the last 10 or so years, there both still very solid teams.

I think this is the best san antonio team and best dallas team there has ever been (i said ever). Just the NBA is super top heavy this season. i can't wait for the play offs.

The Texas Triangle will never fall so long as Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki and Yao Ming are still in the league, IMO.

I always love to see the hurt pouty look on Cuban's face. It reminds me how special life really is.
