I haven't hung out on the Richmond Strip in 20 years, and you couldn't pay me enough $$$ to hang out there now.

Haven't been there in a couple of years & don't plan on going back anytime soon.

Too bad, the Richmond Arms is a really cool pub. Totally out of character with the rest of the crap on the strip.

How low do you have to get to rob a Sonic car hop?

    That's just sad.

They've already killed 2 people, so robbing a car hop is the least of their moral transgressions.

Anyway, if you see two black males approaching you wearing PURPLE surgical gloves - RUN!

The purple gloves are their calling card it seems...

True. Didn't mean to make light of the deaths of two people. Robbing a car hop just caught my attention since most car hops are like 17 and female and are definitely unarmed.

I didn't think you were making light of it.

It's wierd though, even the lowest criminal has to know that a friggin Sonic car hop can't carry more than a few bucks change...

Either they're hopped up on some crap, or just dead-enders out for a thrill...

Right on. I wish it would move. It is a damn fun place to watch Premier League games with a bunch of trashed Brits.

last time i hung out on richmond was after the rockets swept the magic in 95. they blocked off all car access to richmond and it was one big street party

the richmond strip has definitely changed since then. whats with all the cruisin on richmond every weekend? people park on the side of the road and bring out their video cameras and film. wtf are they filming?

Maybe they're waiting for the inevitable shooting to try and sell the footage to Channel 2 for "The Big Story..."

Maybe they're waiting for the random Richmond Strip skank to flash them...

I met Robert Reid at the Richmond Arms. I used to drink that place up when I lived in Houston.

My all-time favorite was Yucatan Liguor Stand.

I had no idea the Richmond strip was this bad, and I live two blocks away from that area. I always thought it was just a popular clubbing/party/dining area, but from what you guys are saying it sounds similar to how I heard Bellaire (the street, not the city) from 59 to Beltway 8 and beyond was a few years ago. You know, violence, gangs, drugs, etcetera.

Hmmm...guess it's time to find a new place to live.
