Boston vs. Atlanta: Easy 4-0 or 4-1 win by Boston. They would have to sleepwalk an entire game for the Hawks to win one.

Detroit vs. Philadelphia: A few weeks ago I might have said the Sixers would win a couple of games, but they have hit the skids. I can see anything from a sweep to the Sixers lucking out and winning a couple of games.

Orlando vs. Toronto: Orlando with the edge. Both teams coughed and wheezed to the finish line. The Raptors are just too soft for my taste and they won't exploit Orlando's sorry guards enough. I won't predict how many games.

Cleveland vs. Washington: I call this one even. The Cavs are so dysfunctional right now they could lose this series. The Wizards have enough firepower to pummel the Cavs. Unless LeBron is Superman, the Cavs are in real trouble.

Looking to the 2nd round, Boston will plaster whoever they play. I could see Detroit struggling some against Orlando if the Magic's guards play decent. The Pistons have a decisive edge. In the E.C. Finals, the Celtics will take it to the Pistons. I say the only thing stopping the Celts from reaching the Finals is injuries. Their 3 stars on offense and their defense will carry them through, maybe all the way to a title.

Honestly if Boston doesn't reach and win the finals with the amount of superstars and good bench players they have this year is an utter failure for them.

1/8: no way the C's lose a game to the hawks.
2/7: worst matchup for 6ers. another sweep.
3/6: raps get killed on the wing, but manage to win one or 2 games.
4/5: upset! cavs lose in 6 to wiz!

I could care less about ANY of those series except the Cavs/Wiz ... all the trash talk and history between them. It's going to be an AWESOME series.

If the Celts don't make the FINALS, they have failed. Period. KG/RayRay/P2 on ONE TEAM? IN THE EAST? Seriously, how can they NOT make the Finals?

The East has been locked. Boston or Detroit. And if Detroit plays Cleveland only Boston has a chance. Its a rock, paper, scissor, type scenario.

Boston vs. Atlanta: Boston in 4........

Detroit vs. Philadelphia: Detroit in 4......

Orlando vs. Toronto: Yes we play weak D, I think everyone knows that... BUT it's not as bad some make it out to be, plus it’s not like Orlando plays extraordinary defence (If I were to rate Toronto's D out of 10 I would give a 7/10, Orlando would get a 7.5/10...benchmark Houston 10/10(w/ Yao)), it’ll be an interesting series..... Whichever team shoots better will win. Toronto in 6.

Cleveland vs. Washington: Washington in 6.

1 v.s. 8. Boston over Atlanta 4-1 look for a last second shot by the Hawks to win one in Atlanta
2 v.s. 7 Detroit over Philadelphia 4-1 Andre Miller has been great this season and not talked about nearly enough they have enough firepower to win 1 if not 2 games in the series
3 v.s. 6 Orlando over Toronto 4-2 Dwight Howard is a beast with Lewis and Turk (the most improved player this season by far and away) they have too much firepower
4 v.s. 5 Cleveland over Washington 4-3 after watching Lebron take a team not much better than this to the finals last year he will come up huge in game 7 and gilbert is still just coming back from the injury

    Second Round
Boston over Cleveland 4-1 Boston just has too much fire power
Orlando over Detroit 4-2 Detroit has not looked great recently and Orlando's shooters will come up big (there has to be at least one playoff surprise right?)

    Eastern Finals
Boston over Orlando 4-1 Boston sets up a dream NBA Finals v.s. the Lakers where ABC must Hire Bob Costas to do the introduction and pays NBC to use there theme music and that guys voice announcing its the finals and what game # it is flashed to a shot of the arena with marv albert and matt goukas calling the finals ( We can all dream right?)

There is literally nothing to discuss.

Detroit will meet Boston in the conference finals. Before then, there's no reason to watch any games from the east.

Unless any other team manages to push either Detroit or Boston to the brink. In which case the elimination game would be worth watching.

1.8: Boston over Atlanta in four
4.5: Washington over Cleveland in five
3.6: Orlando over Toronto in five
2.7: Detroit over Philadelphia in seven

(pssst: Detroit proved last year why they're not as tough, cohesive or, most importantly, good as advertised. The team, led by malcontent Wallace and his lackey Billups, mutinied on Flip Saunders and got no negative repercussions. Meanwhile they lost to a one-man team.)

All I know is the Washington vs Cavs series may be epic. At least I'm hoping it will be... with all this trash talk from the Wizards, Lebron and Gilbert going at it. This is going to go 7 games and will get testy no doubt. I hope the Wiz pull it out.

We can already fast forward to the Eastern Conference Finals. The C's and the Pistons are so much better than the rest of them there will be no contest.
