there's a lot of questions surrounding the 4.4 million exception we have right now, ranging from if it will hurt our chances to grab a big name f.a next year (Webber, Abdur-rahim) to who it can give us this year. Mo Taylor is expected to sign with the Raptors, putting Antonio Davis on the trading block. He could give the team a body banger and much needed help in the frontcourt. Is there any possibility we could use the exception on him, and still have enough money for a big name f.a?? ------------------ If all babies are pretty, how come their so many ugly people in the world? ----SIR CHARLES

On your question, Antonio Davis does have an opt-out clause in his contract after next season to become a free agent. But it is a player option, not a team option, so it would be his choice. If he chose not to opt out, we could not land a Webber or Finley without dropping a TON of our extra salary. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi?
