I fully support NASCAR's decision to cancel the Daytona 500 before its completion.

    Sincerely,
    Bud Selig

Why can't they put on rain tires and finish the race? F1, Le Mans, CART, all run faster cars in the rain. Nascar is lame.

Reportedly because they had a race in Carolina on Thursday and didn't want to interrupt the time schedule.

Even worse was Waltrip's admission that he was praying for the rain to continue so that he could win in a halted race. He was giddy with excitement when the rain continued and the race was cancelled prematurely.

Ahhh... the heart of a champion, eh?

Did somebody use that one on Jim Rome yesterday? I haven't listened to Rome in about four years...

No. I don't listen to Rome. But the format reeked of "cloneness"
