Highly recommended. I'll just put some of the comments on the episode below:

This episode was one of the most impressive and informative I have heard on the topic, particularly from the NYTimes…despite the infuriating topic, I enjoyed the longer format/deep dive.

Absolutely one of the best descriptions of the history of this region and it’s on going problems AND the reasons it is ongoing. Exceptional reporting and dialogue.

Fantastic episode with Ronen Bergman. It presented so much history I didn’t know in an accessible, non-inflammatory way.

Excellent reporting. Need everyone, pro Israel and pro Palestine, to listen to this!

Excellent report. The report starts out with the Six-Day War in 1967 when Israel acquired the Palestinian Territories, both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The Six-Day War was never properly resolved or concluded. Israel and the Palestinians are still fighting that war. It looks like there is no end in sight.

In the last year, the world’s eyes have been on the war in Gaza, which still has no end in sight. But there is a conflict in another Palestinian territory that has gotten far less attention, where life has become increasingly untenable: the West Bank.

Ronen Bergman, who has been covering the conflict, explains why things are likely to get worse, and the long history of extremist political forces inside Israel that he says are leading the country to an existential crisis.
