They got VERY lucky that Leonard wanted to play with George, but credit to them for absolutely raping the Clippers. SGA is possibly the quickest player in the league and was very young when he entered the NBA. Guys with extreme quickness and are young sometimes take longer to figure it out, but they usually figure it out because they have a larger margin for error in their game. They have a very good coach at teaching their players fundamentals.... they have a number of players with a strong basketball IQ. Even when they fall in the draft, they end up with weapons like Giddey. They will get Chet Holmgren back, and have a shot at another top talent in this draft and assets galore going forward. They are extremely well positioned to possibly be a dynasty with a little luck..... imagine adding Wemby or Henderson to this group.
Agreed in the worst case scenario still a serious playoff contender and Top 6 team very soon. It's a bummer that Eason is likely not the swiss army knife on Offense and we will have to wait for that kind of forward. A taller, stronger, more talented Ja'Sean please.
I still have high hope for Eason being a great role player either off the bench of starting. Right now he is just kind of being thrown out on the floor to fend for himself. When he gets a more defined role, he'll can a valuable piece.

without that Trade Kawhi goes to the Lakers with Lebron and AD. PG doesn't go to the Clippers. That was not really a lobsided trade because the Clippers wanted to have a chance to contend. They make that trade 10/10 times because there's literally no other options.
