For those of you who work in Downtown Houston, they've reached a new phase in the construction of the skysraper going up on Main. The crane is coming down, the outside of the buidling is pretty much completed. Its personally interesting to me because my office faces the new mamouth, and I've been here since they imploded an older structure in the space before. Not to get into too many details, I'm waiting to be let go from this job any week now, I'm not a permanent employee (another long story), but I was going to be pretty sad if I didn't get to this phase. anyway, the building's pretty badass looking, its going to be interesting to see who moves in.
Great addition to our already badass (and underrated) skyline. The "sky garden" is an interesting twist. For the longest time, I thought that was just a chunk of the building that wasn't completed yet.
It's def. the best looking building downtown. I drove by it about a week ago. It's a beautiful tower. I would like to see the finished product. btw, I thought Main Place was majority occupied by Devon Energy. I could be wrong.
I sure as hell hope they re-pave Rusk when they're done. It's like driving on the moon now because of the construction.
Anybody have any pics? I don't know what it is but something about skyscrapers has always fascinated me.
Just what I want to do as an adult. Work hard and earn a good paycheck so i can live on top of other people.
wow, so trump will be the 4th tallest residential building: Trump= 861 ft Gehry's Beekman Tower= 867 ft 30 Park Place= 912 ft and the new building on 57th just over 1000 ft.
