You are Morey You are given options by Colangelo: 1) Give me Aaron Brooks + A draft pick 2) Give me Jordan Hill and two first round picks (or substitute Chase for one pick). 3) Give me neither but take on Hedo's contract + a draft pick This is assuming salaries are matched by filler (Jeffries) What do you do?
If I believe that Bosh is worth a max contract over however many years it will be, then I probably choose the first option. We have what many think is an even a better option at the PG spot in Lowry. Plus, I believe that people, in general, overrate the importance of the PG position. I'd prefer to keep the athletic 6'10 prospect in Hill just because, if he does pan out, he plays a more valuable role/position. Hedo's contract is just too poisonous to want the third option over either of the first two.
How would the Rockets take on Bosh and Hedo's contracts without giving up either Brooks or Hill? CBud/Battier/Jeffries/Scola....? Martin?
Damn Tierre Brown... I did overlook that, the only way to make it work and be of equal value is: Battier/Ariza/Jeffries/Anderson for Bosh/Hedo I guess take out the first rounder and we're pretty square, or add a little on Toronto's side if we give up too much.
I talked to a damn hardcore trader from espn and he says bosh will cost the rockets..... Brooks (Young Talent Proven) Battier (Expiring) Jefferies (Expiring) Hill (Young Talent) and 2011 NY Pick... We get Bosh. I think is really worth it?????
That is definitely too much. I can almost guarantee this won't go down without some serious trade competition and a total resolve to get Bosh. It's debatable whether Brooks and Hill alone are worth Bosh, much less adding another pick to the mix.
Yes. If we have Bosh and Scola we have no need for Hill. I love Brooks and think he is better as a starter than Lowry, but Lowry is a better play maker and much better defender. Bring Llull over to play back up PG behind Lowry and chain Lowry to the 3pt line during the offseason and don't feed him unless he starts hitting 40% I would prefer to try to get him without losing Brooks, but if it comes down to it and they won't budge without him, I pull the trigger.
Yea i guess take brooks off there and call it a deal, but then they would do the will we need turk included in the deal senario lol....
can we trade Yao... I mean we already basically handed over one all-star center to the raptors once upon a time when we thought he was done so why not do it again.....
Rockets have already cut out the T-cancer. They do not need to amputate the leg. It's to heal, build up strength (add Bosh), and play another season.
Funny Hill and 2 first round picks, lol lol olo How you gonna pay for his salary for houston r****ds.... You already got Yao, Martin, and now probably scola eating salary . Money dont grow on trees **** heads...
What? Battier/Ariza and Jeffries is just understood to be a part of the deal. So our salary will remain the same as last year except that Lowry and Scola will be getting a raise of 6-8 million between them.
If Toronto coveted AB the most of any of our players, I would be okay with that. We have a good point guard in Kyle Lowry and he will get his wish of being a starter in the leauge. We can use some or all of the MLE to possibly sign another PG or even draft one in the upcoming draft. I believe that parting ways with Brooks makes sense more then Scola or Martin. I am sure that Hill will more than likely have to be including in any deal so Brooks/Hill/ NY PICK and Jefferies would be a fair deal for the Rockets to get Bosh.... Just think of having Scola AND Bosh playing together
Scola is atleast 7-8 mil and Lowry is 4+ Yao is going into a new contract what 10-13, martin 10?? Explain..
Too expensive for my taste. Toronto is going to lose Bosh..the question is...how much are we, or other teams, willing to offer. The only players I would be willing to include in a deal: Ariza Battier Jeffries Anderson Hayes draft picks taking on Turkoglu's contract I realize that these players may not be too attractive to Toronto when it comes to Bosh, but the draft picks should be very valuable to a team in re-building mode, as well as taking Turkoglu's ridiculous contract off their hands. Most fans overvalue their own players compared to what the rest of the country thinks, and I'm guilty of that with Hill....but I am willing to gamble that he is going to blossom into a very good player. There aren't too many players with his height and athletic ability. I also think that Scola will be in the league at least another 4-5 years. He is such a solid player. If we come up short in our efforts to get Bosh, then I'm ok with that. We have enough assets to land some good talent to fill our needs.
Yao,Scola,Battier,Martin,Brooks Brad Miller,Hill,Budinger,Rookie,Lowry Looks good to me. Thats just me Plus Houston 2 first round NY Picks following...
