This movie looks really dumb. I thought we exhausted the whole natural distater genere in the late 90's??? Horrible timing as well with the war coming up too. Another Question: Why the hell did Hillary Swank take this gig?
This movie looks horrible. I, too thought these kinda movies ended with Armageddon. I hope non of you guys and girls go to see this.
Your right Drewdog this sounds very painful. Why Hillary Swank would be i a movie like this is confusing. I guess she got paid well or something. This movie is pretty lame. From my understanding, the reason things go to hell is because the US put a weapon there that caused earthquakes with pin point accuracy. Now it's gone crazy and the crew has to destroy the weapon. Seriously, like there wouldn't be a fail safe to destroy said weapon. Of course, do we even need to talk about the total disregard of geology?
It'll be enjoyable, if not only for it's unintended comedic value. Plus, I like watching cities fictionally blow up.
Whats really amazing is, the movie Armageddon is still being show on TV (saw it last night). This is a movie that a) Has a space shuttle exploding and skyscrapers in NY collapsing at the very beginning of the movie.
Armageddon, Deep Impact, Independence Day, and all other natural disaster movies that I can't think of right now all sucked. I think we have another.
If people can't take it, they can always change the channel. Despite the appearance of Ben Affleck I still dig that movie. The Core looks like a 6-packer.
Idependence Day was pretty good. I love the part about the expensive NASA toilets being used to fund the Alien research. Too funny. And probably true. This movie does look cheasy, but you never know. I said that about Spiderman because of toby Maguire and I definately did not want to see Rudy because of Shawn Aston. But they both gave me goosebumps. It's all up to the director. but the marketing plan was wimpy. Then you got a film like Stormship Troopers that looks great in the previews, and then just gets goofy. I have to admit its a fun USA movie to watch now tho'. But it wasn't anything like the preview.
Do I have to pick. Ugh. If I had to, I'd start with asking myself what I like more-big ****ing lips or big ****ing teeth.
