With the Wizards playing Denver and Dallas, the Rockets have an excellent chance to lose some more ground. Unfortunately, the Clippers are standing in their way. Can Rudy put out the right combinations to lose to the Clips at home without being too obvious?

I have confidence in the man's ability. Losing Dream is going to hurt our chances somewhat, but look for early foul trouble from everyone. Cato and Wiz are prone anyway, and Shandon's shown his ability lately.

The X-factor is Francis and the ROY race. My gut tells me he will somehow avoid the foul trouble tonight and punish Odom and the Clips. However, if Francis really is a team player, we may see more of the Mooch/Drew backcourt we've been hoping for.

Don't be suprised to see some arguing with the refs and maybe an ejection or two.

Of course this is a tongue-in-cheek post, but come on. The man led a bunch a rag-tag nobodies to a bronze medal against the best the rest of the world had to offer. But in the NBA he can only eek out a mid .300 winning percentage?

I honestly believe that the tanking sessions are for Away games only. I pay good money for my tickets and if I have the slightest doubt that they are not playing to win, me and many others are gonna start chunking stuff at the boys.

    I'm with you Rocks.

This is why I couldn't bare to talk about tanking for a lottery pick. Every game must be played at the player's highest level. If they are bad enough to get a 6th pick because they can't close out home games or win anything on the road, so be it.

But, I want to see some play! I want to see some experimentation for next season. I want the top young players still playing top minutes.

Anyone who doesn't want that, has given up on watching the games. Not me.

PS: TB-Cain, nothing directed at you. Bring on the tongue-n-cheek. I just felt compelled to back Rocks as a fellow ticket-holder.

The farther the Rockets move down the standings, the farther I move down the bleachers.

Hmmmm. All this time, the Rudy-bashers have been saying Rudy is incompetent at winning. Do any of the Rudy-bashers think we should try to lose games now? And if so, do they think Rudy will be good at trying to lose or bad at it? Is Rudy an effective loser, or is he just ineffective at whatever he tries to do, including losing?

I wonder what LHutz has to say about this.

Will, don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion. I believe.

Surely they can't lose them all, can they?

Have a little faith in Rudy folks!

Whether its the championship on the line or the #1 lotto pick, Rudy knows how to get his players to perform.

    *wink wink*
