ehh...Deng trade wasn't bad--they just dumped bynum for him.

but yeah, this team needs to hit the restart button. and i think it comes from the top of the organization.

Deng was recently interviewed. He commented on how taken back he was by the behavior going on in the Cavs locker room and mentioned that this kind of stuff would never be tolerated in Chicago. Guys arguing at half time, guys taking off their jerseys and threatening not to play the second half, mike brown kicking people out of practice but then giving them normal playing time in a game the next day.

Wonder if the new GM is willing to rebuild/ send us pieces. I would actually really like Gee on this squad, just as a solid wing defender

Mike Brown needs to be fired. The Rockets should go after CJ Miles.

this is the franchise lebron should have stayed with?

this is the franchise lebron is gonna come back to?

the cavs are officially the worst ran franchise in the nba.

all those high draft picks and what do they have to show for it?

i swear they better not get another top 3 pick this year.

@WojYahooNBA: Yahoo Sources: The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired general manager Chris Grant. http://t.co/0EQFfKMA8b

Hours after a humiliating loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has fired general manager Chris Grant, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Gilbert had grown increasingly frustrated with the losing and dysfunction within the Cavaliers and the loss to the Lakers – who finished the game with four eligible players – was the breaking point.

Cleveland is 16-33 and losers of six straight games. They're 5.5 games out of the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Gilbert had delivered a mandate of making the playoffs for the Cavaliers this season.

Grant had a reputation as a hard-working executive, but failed to construct an infrastructure of talent to return the Cavaliers to the playoffs for the first time since LeBron James left as a free agent in 2010.

Grant had been responsible for drafting several high lottery picks that have yet to validate themselves, including No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett in the 2013 NBA draft. Grant has been waiting for several top-five draft picks, including Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson, to fulfill their promise.

Cleveland had hoped a recent trade for Luol Deng would help turn the season around, but Cleveland has continued to drop in the Eastern Conference standings.

Grant had pushed for the return of Mike Brown as head coach, but he has struggled in his first season back with the Cavaliers.

Grant replaced his previous boss, Danny Ferry, as GM in 2010.

Cleveland is such a terrible franchise. The only relevancy they've had in the past 30 years was getting a once in a generation player in LeBron and they couldn't even hang on to him and he's a hometown kid!

Top 5 pick after top 5 pick and yet they continue to suck in the LEastern conference

He just made a lot of bad decisions in the draft that were even questionable at the time.

Thompson over Valanciunas? Waiters #4 overall? Anthony Bennett #1 overall?

All of those decisions were bad. At least he got the Kyrie Irving pick right.

Never understood why Mike Brown was the hire they thought would get Lebron back.

This happens when owners get the idea they can fix a poor defensive team by hiring a head coach with a rep for defense.

He's the beginning and end of the problem in Cleveland. He's a terrible owner, and not all that great of a person in general.

@WojYahooNBA: Cleveland's well-respected assistant GM, David Griffin, favorite to become Cavs' interim GM, sources tell Yahoo. Team officials meeting now.

IMO bad move, this clown would of been part of all the draft decisions.

They need to steal an assitent GM from a smart front office like a sam Hinkle
