Jordan played in the 95 playoffs. These ignorant writers are irritating.

Yep, Hakeem pretty much relegated to the last spot that he can be stretched to (#5).

And it's the usual stuff for Bill Russell. He won a ton of championships, he was the team leader, he was a player coach blah blah blah...and then finally towards the end of his blurb a quick mention of what he actually did on the basketball floor, his prowess on one side of the ball (defense).

John Havlicek showed up on both the SG and SF lists.

Isiah Thomas is one of my favorite players of all time. I was one of the jackasses who loved watching the Bad Boys beat the Bulls.

John Stockton is, quite possibly, my least favorite player of all time. I can't stand that guy.

    Having said that....Stockton > Thomas.

As for small forwards...I wonder if we'd consider James Worthy that high if he didn't play with Magic...or would we consider Pippen in that group if he never played with Jordan. Lots of "what if's"...but it makes you wonder.

I won't even comment on where they put Olajuwon.

Meh, somebody just kind of arbitrarily picking names out and ranking them with no real attempt to be even pseudo scientfic.

Oscar Robertson has nothing in common with Steve Nash really so why even attempt this?

Not enough thought put into these lists. He has Havlicek as both top 10 SG and SF.

Hakeem should be 1 or 2
    Nowitzki should be 4
Worthy should be 4 or 5
Pistol Pete should be 5 or 6
Stockon should be 4 and Oscar Robinson should be 1

and Havlicek was listed twice (SG/SF) so the author of this article just threw it together and the editor didn't pay ANY attention to the content.

Have some respect. Russell averaged 15 ppg without having plays run for him. He pulled down 24 rebounds per game TWICE. He owned Wilt Chamberlain. He should be ranked either 1 or 2 with Hakeem. He also did this in the 50s and 60s when integrating black players was a very heated issue. That dude is a straight up hero. I do know this though, Shaq should be listed 5, at a minimum. No one who watched the 95 finals with an open mind would disagree.

And this is my issue. How could the supposed best or second best center of all time not have plays run for him? I will never be able to reconcile that.

In an era where points were cheap to come by.

Is this supposed to be an accomplishment? Otis Thorpe scored more than that without having any plays run for him.

My friends favorite player of all time is AI. I know he was awesome at one point but never thought of him as one of the greatest. Maybe it's our competitiveness but we seemed to be on completely opposite ends of the spectrum with who's better, "Nash or AI"? Now this article puts him at 5th all time SG. Am I just hating??

Not surprising considering that its obligated for NBA fans to perpetuate the Jordan myth.
Jordan might as well be a god, because that's how people treat him now. Any criticism of Jordan and you are ignorant or biased.

Shaq rated over Dream. If only I had some type of game film I could review with them going head to head in a somewhat important 7 game series.
