Does the Cheney cabal know about the Dark Crusaders? I suppose George Lopez is a member of the Mexican cabal which is behind the silent invasion (illegal immigration) to conquer the American southwest and form Aztlan.
The idea that Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Bill Cosby, Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Robert L. Johnson would ever form a secret cabal in order to bring down Chapelle is pretty funny. Seriously, I can't even imagine them agreeing to pizza toppings let alone some kind of political crusade. It's just a gag, so no big deal.
I was reading along enjoying the creativity of this, but at one point, the guy claims that Oprah calls in a fovor with a local affiliate to beam a special taped segment from her show where she suddenly turns to the camera and tells Chappelle he should be ashamed for the "Ni**ars" sketch (the white family with the n word for their last name). It was already ridiculous and far fetched, but that just took it to another level.
Man, that was an awesome story! No possible way that Oprah and Sharpton are sneaking into Dave Chappelle's house at night, but it was still thrilling to read. Real well done. Really a testament to the mystery surrounding Dave's real reasons for discontinuing a show that was such an insane success. Not only the money involved, but Season 2 was easily the funniest stuff of the decade, a watershed series in early-2000s entertainment. It's hard for people who haven't been subjected to "Hey, I'm Rick James b****! WWWHAT! WWWHAT! YYYEAH!!!" 50 trillion times every time we leave the house to even begin to understand.
The only part of me that thinks this might be anywhere near true is the fact that Dave went to Africa during his third season hiatus. No one GOES to Africa, you get chased there.
The story is not as far fetched as some of you believe it to be. Jimi Hendrix was going through the same crap, only back then it was the Black Panthers doing the harrasing.
Whoever wrote that must of had a lot of free time. WTF? Gotta give em credit though, they did their research, mentioned Antioch university, which is near where Chappelles house is.
I've never heard anything about Hendrix being harrassed by the Black Panthers. Where did you hear this? And why would they have been doing it?
I know the Black Panthers were very keen on having Hendrix come out and support some of their goals publicly and pressured him to get involved in the civil rights struggle, but it wasn't something Hendrix was interested in. Jimi had the ear of a lot of white people but the Panthers' rifle-toting image didn't appeal to him and it wasn't something he wanted to be associated with publicly. They may have called him an Uncle Tom a time or two, but I'm quite certain they never sent him any voodoo dolls.
