I saw a blurb about this on TV, did a google search and voilá... The CEIVA Digital Photo Receiver!! It's a photo frame sized image receiver with a 5x7 color LCD screen that receives images via a phone line. You can upload pictures to it from anywhere a PC can be accessed! I thinking about getting one for my Mom so that my sister, brother and I can send pics via our PC's to her house. My Mom wouldn't even need a PC... just a phone line and an outlet. The testimonials sound great and I read their FAQ. Looks like I can set it up from my end without any hassle for my Mom, except plugging it in. Here's a review I found online... what do you think?
that would make a good mothers day gift rockhead. anyone had any experience with those Beamer videophone screens that are $500 for 2?
hmmm... do you think I should just print my pictures and send them to Mom via a 37¢ stamp with a letter instead?
I did a search on da 'Net and the reviews I've read are a mixed bag. Most of the complaints seem to be from people pissed at their response/customer support. I've seen comments from back in 2001 from people that bought it at Circuit City. I did a search at Circuit City, but they don't seem to carry it anymore.
