In the chat room, we came up with a challenge for our next baseball season. The winner will be entered into the next CCNET draft at the position of their choice. They'll begiven "perennial all-star ratings." Post:

    1. Your predictions for the division winners and wild cards. You get 1 point for every correct prediction. Two points for the WS winner.

    2. Your predictions for the post season awards here. You'll get 1 point for every correct prediction, except RoY... since this is sooo difficult, you'll get 2 for this one.

    3. Your prediction for the All-Star winner. 1 point

    4. Your prediction for our league leaders for avg, home runs, RBI, wins, ERA, and saves. 1/2 point for every correct prediction. (Both AL & NL)

    5. Tie breaker: Your prediction for our ccnet baseball sim league Tank-a-thon 2k6 champion.

The deadline is the start of the season.

    Oh, one other thing:

To encourage creativity, you can make your own prediction. Formulate it like this:

Who will be 3rd in the AL in batting?

    Answer: Ichiro (or whoever)

I will assign a number of points for answering your question correctly, based on my own assessment of how difficult the question was. You only get one of these.

If you do a very easy one, like "who will finish 2nd in the the NL Central" (sorry sammy), you're more likely get your answer right... but that wouldn't be worth very much at all.

On the other hand, if your question is "who will lead the league in pinch hits with runners in scoring position," you might rack up some serious bonus points.

Cuttino, how could you take the rookie of the year away from me and not predict me to win my first playoff series. :(
