For all of those in Houston...if you remember the aid drive that KTBZ did for the tsunami victims, they're doing it again for the NOLA/Gulf Coast victims. Pretty neat thing to see what kind of crap people will request (my wife wants to call and get Wham's "Last Christmas" played). If you normally don't listen to this station on an everyday basis, today might be a good day to flip over there and listen. The past ten songs included Neal Diamond, Kiss, Van Morrison and SOAD. Pretty ranging set of music. So, if you're interested in helping, call in and make a request and donation. Supposedly, they'll play practically anything.

    Enjoy!!! :)

The last time they did this it was some of the best radio I'd heard in awhile.

It makes me think, how the hell do they get these songs? I know for sure they dont own every CD. I would guess they just fireup Bearshare/Kazaa and just d/l them :)

Btw, Im thinking about calling to request Chefs "Chocolate Salty Balls" or Cartman's "Kyle's mom is a big fat b****". :)

94.5 is clear channel, isn't it? Music for radio stations is kept on hard drives now. I'm sure the buzz has access to a library covering all kinds of radio stations.

And thus the reason I would never listen to the buzz ever again, lol.

Last night as I was driving to the club, the DJs made the announcement that Fats Domino had been found, and played three straight Fats Domino songs, ending with "Walking to New Orleans".

I caught Milli Vanilli's "Girl You Know It's True" on the way to work yesterday morning. And NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" late Wednesday night. 2 songs I never thought I'd hear on the Buzz.

Did anyone hear the song "Grendel" by Nod? That's my friend's brother's band, which was based in New Orleans. A couple of our friends donated $1000 to the relief efforts and had it played.
