My God! The Bucks are freakin' SMOKING tonight. The big three has scored all of their points, with a minute left. Allen with 13, Robinson with 9 and Cassell with 8. Note: It's the end of the quarter, and Tim Thomas just put in a two so tB3 hasn't scored all their points. ------------------
YES! I love the way the Bucks play, and this is why they really do have a legit shot to win it all. They have improved leaps and bounds defensively (thanks in large part to one of the most underrated players in the game-- Ervin Johnson), and when they shoot like they are offensively, they are awesome. And to top it all off, from top to bottom the team has classy guys who I'd really like to see win a championship. Also, don't forget they're the only team in the league 4-0 against the Spurs and Lakers. ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor and Jason Collier fan club! Could the media be any more biased in this game? This comment from Dick Stockton with the Bucks up 46-37. "The Bucks only up single digits after 2-14 shooting from Iverson" Umm, Dick... the Bucks shot 6% (that's right, 6%) as a team from the 9 minute mark of the 2nd quarter to the 2 minute mark. 7 minutes on the road shooting 6%. They had one stretch in there where they shot 0-11. The Bucks were good enough to lead by nine on the road in the conference finals, even through being ice cold for almost the entire 2nd quarter. That should say something in itself. I wish the broadcasters wouldn't try and diminish the Bucks performance based on Iverson's poor showing. Also, something else by Stockton and Hubie Brown that bugged me-- did you see when Iverson stole Cassell's pass when he was trying to throw an alleyoop? They went on about this forever like it was the play of the year, when in actuality it was a horrific pass by Cassell and Iverson barely had to jump to steal it. In addition, one more thing annoying about the first half... Cassell's T. Go back and watch the tape of this game-- the play that he was arguing, he was clearly hacked across the arms. I know that this happens to lots of players, but I wish officials would be more lenient when giving out technicals when a player is arguing over a call that was indisputably poor and against him. If you can't get everything right as an official, don't expect the players to be perfect either. If you miss a call, don't overreact when the player is upset. Simple as that. Other than that, great half, Bucks up 12. Keep it up. GO BUCKS!!! ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor and Jason Collier fan club! Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Dick and Hubie keep ranting about how well the Bucks are running their half court sets and how they're able to get any shot they want... ------------------ "Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. Who has a bigger ego, Phil Jackson or George Karl? I'd give a slight edge to Phil. ------------------
I like Dick and Hubie. They are pure analysis and none of the hype. They are the best broadcast team on national TV (Kevin Harlan is the best broadcaster on TNT but his team is crap [Danny Ainge!]). ------------------ The Protrolls.com message boards! Protrolls.com! Kevin Harlan cracks me up. How can anyone have such stupid catch phrases? -- He's a flamethrower! -- Right between the eyes! -- _____ with the corkscrew move! What else can you guys think of? We need some more Harlanisms! ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor and Jason Collier fan club! Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Profiles, rankings, mock drafts, and more!
I think that's all of his material. That's what sucks, dude says the same crap over and over. You could make fun drinking game out of a Kevin Harlan game though... BTW Cat, when did you decide to jump off of the draft Richard Jefferson bandwagon? ------------------ "Empire" had the better ending. I still like him, but as I explained in the draft forum, with the latest news on Dream, and Rudy's draft tendencies, I think going big is more important for us, even though the SF may have a lot of potential. Young, athletic SF's come around every year via the draft, free agency, etc. A draft loaded with quality centers comes around only once a decade. And, assuming Dream leaves (and he will sooner or later), I'd rather not count on Cato for anything other than team waterboy, and I want to give Collier more experience before we put too much pressure on him. We need to look big, and imho, the guy that more and more looks like a guy Rudy might pick is Loren Woods. See my mock draft in the draft forum for my reasoning behind that. ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor and Jason Collier fan club! Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Most fun game I've watched in a while. Series is evened up 1 game a piece, and the Bucks have homecourt. GO BUCKS!!! ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor and Jason Collier fan club! Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Profiles, rankings, mock drafts, and more!
Like I told you guys, Milwaukee is the better team, and Milwaukee will finish the 76ers off in 6, MAYBE 7. When they have the Big Three clicking nobody is going to hang with Milwaukee. I'm telling you guys the Lakers don't want ANY part of the Bucks. The Bucks beat them in both of their meetings. Your big man setting the tone doesn't matter if the other team is clicking on all cylinders. I think the Spurs will come back and take this series to 6 or 7. I still think they can win this series. Derek Anderson is probably going to come back Friday. ------------------ See the three, be the three.
It would be great if the Bucks won the title. The Rockets then would have handed the 2001 championship team their 1st and 2nd biggest losses of the year. ------------------ "They couldn't shoot, rebound, or pass, but other than that, they played great!" -Bill Walton
Man it sucks TNT isn't going to be doing anymore games. Now we're stuck with Peter Vescey, PJ Carlesimo, Kevin Johnson, and King Brown Nose himself, Ahmad Rashaad. I hope Charles doesn't come back to play b/c TNT won't be the same without him... ------------------ "Empire" had the better ending. The refs obviously gave this game to the Bucks. It's a conspiracy by Stern to get the Bucks in the finals. The Fakers can beat the Bucks, but would lose to the Sixers. ------------------ One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.
where were you guys when i was fighting in the other forum against Gascon, TheFreak, etc. ? the bucks and lakers in the finals. i said it from the get go. and i'll bet that milwaukee takes the series from la... matter of fact, if i could find good enough odds (online), i'd put $$ on the bucks over the lakers.
I like Milwaukee too...even said they were my favorite in the East, but they won't get past Phili and DEFINITELY won't win a game against LA. What kind of odds do you want??? ------------------ burp
rocketspimp, the one man philly team cannot, i repeat cannot beat the bucks. even if allen scores 50, the bucks have too many weapons to cancel and supercede allen's efforts. he may be good for 2 games where he carries the 6rs to a victory. that's it. bucks in 6. as for milwaukee v lakers, i'd take milwaukee. i know the regular season doesn't mean much right now, but there is a reason that milwaukee was undefeated against la. it's the style of offense they play. anyway, i figure the lakers will be 4:1 fav's to win. at 4:1 - @ an online casino - i'd put up $100 quickly. did you mean a 1 on 1 wager between us on the potential series?
I like the Bucks and all, but to say they have any shot at all to beat the Lakers or Spurs is a little far-fetched to say the least. It took them 7 games to beat the freaking Charlotte Hornets. In reality all they've done is advance to the Conference Finals in the weakest conference I can remember. The T-Wolves were 8th in the West, and I might pick them ahead of the Bucks. LA is playing right now like the best team ever. And the Milwaukee Bucks are going to knock them off? Huh?
