You saw what happen. have at it. Brad, you had some great stuff. You tore it up. When we sent Dotel off, you came in and kicked ass. Now you suck. k, thx bye!
Jesus wtf is up with this guy.. After Pujol ripped him a new one a couple of years ago this dude is a shell of his former self.. Can someone donate some manly nuts to him? GOD I wish we traded someting for him in the off-season.
I know it's been discussed 500000000000 times. but really, did the pujols shot ruin lidge THAT much?? somehow, i still fail to buy that "copout" card of well pujols ruined lidge, therefore he can't pitch anymore. i forget how lidge was before that series, but wasn't he lights out?
I'm betting it's less to do with that one incident and more to do with the fallout from that and his mechancis as well. Already struggling with his mechanics and facing constant reminders of that moment, constant criticism, being under the microscope since that time...it's like quicksand for him. In the grand scheme of things the Pujols shot really amounted to nothing, considering the team won that series. But ever since, he's had to walk out on the mound with the thought of an entire city wondering if he'll blow it again.
me too, im already throwing my damn remote across the living room, just the way we lost, the way the final out was, had to be a line drive the pitcher and of course, he caught it
Dear Comcast and MLB, Please get the Extra Innings deal done tonight so that I can watch other games besides those here. I just found out Saturday that I cannot get Direct TV here and I cannot take watching Brad Lidge anymore. I need other options. Your friend-ONLY if you can pull it off, LonghornFan.
It wasn't that incident that made him fall apart since he was struggling before that. The Pujols shot just magnified and dramaticized everything that was wrong with Lidge at that point. And Lidge was not lights out during that series. In Game 3 he gave a double to a bench player. In Game 4 he completely fell apart (at one point it was man on third with no outs) and it took lucky bounces and unlikely plays to salvage a win. And we saw what happened in Game 5.
