And that debate is between mrpaige and kirkit on quotes that are either really Dan Quayle or Dubyuh. The book is called "The Bush Dysle(e is actually backwards)xicon" and is by Mark Crispin Miller. My mother just checked it out of the library, so I'm sure it is available off Amazon or Barnes and Noble. For the record, Quayle is mentioned in the first chapter, but I can't find anything about any of his quotes being attributed to Dubyuh. Here are some samples (unless noted all are Dubyuh): "They misunderestimated me." "I will have a foreign-handed foreign policy." "Well, I think if you say you're going to do something and don't do it, that's trustworthiness." "Laura and I really don't realize how bright our children is until we get an objective analysis." "I'll answer some questions, and I'm going to head home and take a nap." - shortly after his inauguration to a group of Democrats. Dan Quayle - "Bobby Knight told me this: 'There is nothing that a good defense cannot beat a better offense.' In other words, a good offense wins." Dan Quayle - "This election is about who's going to be the next president of the United States!" "More and more of our imports come from overseas." So, mrpaige and kirkit: both of you need to pick this book up and see "who's really right".
Well you know they could come from Canada, Mexico, South America. That quote makes perfect sense. Bush is the man.
I don't have to read it because I was right and provided proof of it. Like I've said before, it's not as if there haven't been enough dumb things said by Mr. Bush. Why people feel the need to misattibute Quayle quotes to him is beyond me. And this is my first (and probably next to last) post here in a month.
I have noticed that you haven't been around. You need to stay and post more. I miss reading your posts.
