That was pretty funny when the mascot dumper a huge cake all over her, she was pissed! Does this mascot do this on purpose? I have seen other times where he/she pulls pranks.
They are definitely in on the act. I sat near on a pair of girls that got dumped on and they were too pretty and too made up to be there alone to watch the rocket games.
That's what I thought. Every time I happen to see it, it has always been someone extremely dressed up. It's kind of dumb but still fun to see.
I don't know... Clutch slammed a cake into a 70 year old man once... that was NOT funny. The old man nearly lost his balance and Clutch throws that cake pretty hard. That's the only schtick that the bear does that I do not care for. Last night, that girl seemed pretty pissed. Do you REALLY think they are in on it? If so, then ha-ha... if not, that sucks.
I'm with rH on this one....she looked pretty pissed off to me. If she was in on it, then she is a pretty fine little actress.

I think the whole cake schtick needs to go away. It's not a nice thing to do anywhere... especially at a game, I mean you STILL have to clean up afterwards. So uncool.

Guys, I have met the person who is Clutch the Bear and the first question I asked him was if that skit was all done with actors because to me it seemed like the folks getting the cake smashed in their face was genuinely PO'd. He assured me that they are all staged and that the actors are either hired or folks that work for the Rockets. I think he even said a couple of the powerdancers had even played the part.
She's a wonderful actor and she is also doing very well as our new Creativity and Planning Coordinator -- she started interning with us last summer, and she did such a good job that we promoted her to full time staff last month when a position became available. Me, I just try and make sure I'm not sitting next to any of my staff when Clutch rolls out with the cake -- most of the time, I don't know who the plant is and I'm sure Clutch would love to catch me in the crossfire. It's probably only a matter of time before I'm just collateral damage. Tim

That was pretty funny. Sometimes it real sometimes it not. Sometimes it just somebody that works at the Rockets that isn't expecting it... hint, hint.
HAHA its soo funney Cluth is a funney ass bear ill tell you that, last year i was sitting by the railing and my foot was on it so he grabbed it and took my shoe off. After that he smelled and made a gester like it stank really bad & every1 around me started laffin. Than i went to get it and he threw it down to the next level. I was coo about it but when the "cluth crew" guy brought the shoe back and he started playin around again with me agan , i tackled him and got my shoe back on. It was a great time .
