OK, these are the players that make up the best offense in the national league:

    Damien Miller
    Erubiel Durazo
    Junior Spivey
    Craig Counsell
    Tony Womack
    Luis Gonzales
    Steve Finley
    Quinten McCrackin

Who the hell are these people?!?!

A big part of that offense was Danny Bautista, until he went down for a few months with some sort of arm injury. Remains to be seen if he was vital enough to disrupt Arizona's offense, but with RJ and Schilling, it may not really matter.

I do know that Durazo can absolutely kill the ball, just seems to get injured or, with other options on the roster, benched. Gonzalez is good, but who would've expected Miller, Spivey, Counsell, and company to perform this well? I sure wouldn'tve.

Man, that is so stupid, looking at that line-up. I guess small ball DOES kill! It's still mind-boggling to think that that line-up, or most of it, went through St Louis', Atlanta's and the New York Yankee's pitching staff to win a championship, and they're in first place this year!

    The Diamondbacks don't play small-ball.

They lead the National League in On-Base Percentage, Slugging Percentage(and thus OPS, of course), Homeruns and Walks. Except for Walks, the fact that they're doing this in a League with Colorado in it is remarkable.

The Diamondbacks(just like last year) are a power team.

I'm going to have to say if I wanted an offense in the NL, I'll take the Cards. I hate them, and I know they don't have the numbers that the DBacks have, but take a look at the Cards...

C-Matheny/DiFicilice/Marrero...all 3 of them can bat a/b .270 not bad for a 8 hole hitter
    1B-Tino/Pujols...these guys can stick
2B-Vina....great leadoff hitter, good speed, often over-looked
    SS-Renteria...back to old form
3B-Pujols/Polanco...I like Polanco, good clutch hitter, he is a throw back
LF-Pujols/Polanco/K.Robinson...to be honest I'm not too sure what they do in Left, but Robinson can fly
CF-Edmonds-one of the top CF's in the league
    RF-Drew....great great player

they put a lineup like this out there it's tough to beat

    Vina
    Polanco
    Drew
    Pujols
    Edmonds
    Tino
    Renteria
    Catcher
    Pitcher

thats a great lineup...as much as I hate to say it:mad:

Wow, now that's just insane! I like Arizona, but for whatever reason I don't keep up with them as much as other teams . I didn't know they were a power team. That is just crazy!

i cannot stand vina, he absolutely drives me insane. i think it's mostly that the cardinals(and atlanta) are my utah jazz of baseball, but he's always on base against us and he's just pesky. i wouldn't mind him playing for us though. :)
